Arriving at Cap's is a beautiful thing. The big oak trees with hanging moss give this bar and resturant a great feel. Sit on the water for beautiful views across to St. Augustine.

We went on a Sunday afternoon; it was busy and we ate at the bar rather than wait an hour for a table. Oysters were good, served with a champagne mignonette sauce, and the seared tuna was very good as well. The place isn't cheap--and you're paying for the view as well as the food-- but good fresh seafood usually... More
My Husband and I came here for our anniversary last year and absolutely loved it! The food is excellent and the light wrapped around the trees outside is to die for! Love this place!
Stopped for dinner with the hubby. Fresh and local catches on the menu along with interesting specials. I had steak frites...yummy! The hubby had the seafood platter. The Datil Pepper ketchup is very tasty! Save room for dessert!
Ate here after an afternoon airboat adventure. Arriving solo and a bit wind blown, I thought they might stick me in a far away table. Bless them, I had a prime table on the deck overlooking the water. Lauren, my waitress, was sweet and timed my drink and food arrival impeccably. Cudos to the bartender for my southern comfort whiskey... More
But the castle nearby isn't the best part. Parking is on a dirt lot but there is free valet parking. We arrived early in the 5 o'clock hour and we seated surprisingly quickly. The food was fresh, staff was friendly and helped with recommendations, and the ambiance was great especially with the trees being wrapped in christmas lights. Would go... More
We live close by and eat at Caps often. It's a great place to take guests when we want to treat them to a wonderful old Florida atmosphere. The food is well prepared and the serving staff excellent. But the management tends to run the place like a dictatorship. A party of four can wait for 30 minutes while two... More
Food was exceptional so was the service. We went about 5:45. It was packed!! 2 plus hour wait... However if you go back to the oyster bar area you can grab a table as people leave . The parking is in a dirt lot there is valet parking. We parked at a friends house and went by golf cart. Reasonably... More
Four of us had a great time at Cap's, due mainly to what was surely a beautiful sunset. We ate inside in front of a big window (temp was a bit too chilly to eat outside, which would have been better). Very friendly service and wait staff, food was better than average but not great. Fish portions could have been... More
Fabulous setting on water with high quality food. Had two fresh fish entrees, both well prepared with nice sides. Our waiter was average, didn't know difference between Pinot Gris and Grigio and served wrong side dish. Sunset over water beautiful - lots of outside seating.
