Stopped for dinner on the way through St Pete Beach, and did not regret it. Started out with $5 Rum Runners, which were really, really good. We also ate a light dinner. The conch chowder was pretty spicy, but I loved it. Ropa Vieja was also quite good. Our waitress was attentive and fun to talked to, and that added... More

Desperately trying to find food and a place to watch the National Championship game Monday, January 9th my friend and I happened to drive by what we thought would be a GREAT place for both at the Salty Rim. Whoops... The food was OK with the exception of the chili queso which had a funny taste and a texture that... More

Was craving gulf shrimp. My son ordered the shrimp basket and I ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer. Unfortunately batter on appetizer was undercooked. Waitress was apologetic and I ordered basket of shrimp. It was delicious! Large portion, even French Fries were tasty. We ate at other restaurants that week and my son said that Salty Rim had the best shrimp... More

First off our server Jordie could be snow white. Very nice and always around to see if we needed anything. The wings....were. ...AMAZING! Great food and good service. Some of the other people didn't like we had a baby that made a bit of a mess but.....I didn't really care about that because the food was great and our server... More

Very fair pricing, and good sized portions. The seared tuna was fabulous. Corona on draft. What more could you ask for? View, included.

We get Groupons for this place often so we go there every couple months for drinks and lunch or an appetizer. The view is very nice and the atmosphere is laid back. Sometimes too laid back as far as service. The service is usually great at a table on the patio and very sporadic at the bar - sometimes the... More

If you go for lunch it's never too busy to get a seat at the large outdoor tiki bar on the deck overlooking the water. The drunken clams are incredible.

Food was average; service was terrible. Waited over an hour for food to come out and then EVERYTHING came out at once, including appetizers. Had to chase down server to get soda refill after sitting with empty glasses for 20 minutes and eating hot wings. Maybe this is because our "server" was also the bartender, so obviously the bar was... More

I was with a group and most of the dishes were good, especially the appetizers, but the grouper was a little dry.

For everyone who loves redemptive powers of the sea and the sensual tastes of the very freshest foods and great drinks, the cure is indeed here: St. Pete Beach’s most festive dining experience, The Salty Rim Grill. The Salty Rim is something from the imagination of an old Florida dreamer or Buffet song. the fresh food is influenced by the great tastes of the Caribbean, Florida Keys and places that rim the Gulf of Mexico. But it’s even more than that, The Salty Rim is a state of mind; the nearest faraway place that the fun loving people of Tampa Bay can escape to… and please when you enter, be sure to check your worries at the door.
