We were looking for diner and a drink. Had a rooftop bar with good views , however you need to go downstairs to place a food order and then bring it back. We went down to a patio on ground level to eat. The grouper sandwich was good. They have 2 sizes and the smaller would be good for most... More

We only visited for lunch so I can only review what we did for lunch on the first floor in the outside seating area. Apparently there is a second floor that is a bit different. Ok, so here we go. First off the hostess outside was not friendly at all. She never even spoke. We walked up to her station... More

I haven't been to the Hurricane since the early 90's. While there over the New Year, we got lucky and had an 80 degree day so we enjoyed some beach time. We got to the third floor, the ONLY rooftop bar in town, and found a good seat by the bar. The crowd really swelled as the sun started to... More

We stopped by for a hurricane or two & enjoyed the view from the rooftop bar. The drinks were nicely flavored from fresh squeezed grapefruit juice.

I have eaten at The Hurricane Beach Bar and Restaurant since I was a teenager. The world-famous grouper sandwich is truly deserving of the title; and on my last visit it was as per usual. The portioning is perfect (there is a large and small version of the sandwich). My husband had the clam chowder (another famous recipe) and we... More

We grabbed some quick eats here after a day at the beach. Mainly aimed at serving tourists so expect high volume during typical meal times. Prices are quite high for what you are getting. Their Pina Colada is suuuuuuper good, just watch out for the brain freeze ;)

We missed the sunset from the rooftop since we were late but we still decided to eat! We got the gator bites which were okay but not that great in my opinion. For my entree I ordered the dinner crab cakes. There were 2 for $22. Absolutely delicious and a good size! The mashed potatoes were tasty as well. We... More

We stumbled on the Hurricane Seafood Restaurant on New Year's Eve after driving down to see the beach at Pass a Grille in st Pete's beach. A walk in to the restaurant opened us to the possibilities and we were soon making our way to the second floor to sit outside, have some eats and watch the sunset on a... More

We stopped in on Thursday night after watching the sunset. This was our first visit although my wife did frequent the place 40 years ago when she was a teenager. Casual and seafood. It appears the bar area upstairs is popular. I had clam chowder it was OK and the grouper tacos, they were ok too. My wife had big... More

Nice outdoor patio with sea breeze while enjoying seafood salads, sandwiches or dinners. Rooftop bar for late afternoon/evening beverages overlooking Gulf of Mexico.
