We live in Lakewood Ranch and have to drive here to get a decent bagel. They are not New York but they are not the typical "round bread" you find in Sarasota/ Manatee area. They have a very good selection. The cream cheese is also good but the lox is just okay. For excellent lox you have to have it... More

My wife and I visit Sarasota a few times each year. We love going out for breakfast and we stop at Millie's, the Village Cafe, the Broken Egg, etc.but we always try to stop at Lox n Egg one or two times. It's a great stop on the way to the beach. The only purchase my wife and I have... More

Went for breakfast. They take your order in a line, then call your name when it is ready. Self service coffee. The process of ordering and getting your food was fast and efficient. Plenty of tables. The bagel was better then others in this area but not quite ny quality. The eggs and bacon was very good and cooked well.... More

Moved to Sarasota from Brooklyn NY 3 years ago. Never thought I would find a good bagel again. This is the place in Sarasota for a good bagel and lox sandwich. Just like the deli I used to go to in my neighborhood in Brooklyn. Thank you...

We love Lox n Egg's for its bagels. They are the best around. It is a cute little place to eat breakfast but the bagels simply shine. We go there to get a couple of dozen bagels and freeze them for use when we need them. Really, they are the best.

This is the closest to NY bagels I've come across in Sarasota. It is great for take out as well as eat in. Have no illusions, it is all about the bagels. The bialy's are good. As well. They also have appetizing, lox, whitefish salad, cream cheese and will put eggs or bacon on a bagel for breakfast. I always... More

The bagels are smail and doughy. Nothing compared to a New York bagel but one of the better places for Sarasota.

I witnessed the older white lady with messy hair drop a utensil on the floor and pick it up with the same gloves she was preparing food with and taking customers orders with their bagels before you go pay. She picked my bagel up without changing her gloves and proceeded to pass my food along. The idiot that I am... More
