Great eatery near Tecpan in the "interamericana" road from Guatemala to Solola and Atitlan. Family restaurant with large portions of very tasty Guatemalan food at a very affordable price. Great set-up in a garden with wild hummingbirds flying around. Just do not forget your insect repellent.

El Pedregal is a family owned restaurant that serves fresh food prepared with locally grown ingredients without any additives or preservatives. It is served family style so all you have to do is make your selection of meat and the rest of the dishes are included in your meal according to the daily menu. I chose "carne asada" and the... Typical Guatemalan breakfast but with all the extras. Mosh, cafe, the best whole wheat bread with homemede jam, queso, crema, huevitos al gusto, frijol, & tortillas. Pancakes were delicious as well. Breakfast served til noon. For lunch - best hamburger we've had this trip. Definitely worth the short trip off the main road.

If you've eaten in a farm kitchen then you know how close to the source your food is. Well this restaurant is supported by the farm on which it is located. They are open for breakfast and lunch. All breakfasts come with fresh cream, fresh cheese, homemade jam, and whole black beans in it's liquid. As part of the breakfast... More

Excellent service and more amazing food. The place was crowded but our food was served in under 10 minutes. We went for breakfast from which you can choice eggs with multiple options of about 10 different meats for your scrambled or fried eggs. Breakfast is also served with oatmeal, queso fresco, beans, jam, coffee from the region and home made... More

I've been to this lovely place 3-4 times in the last 10-15 years and it never fails to satisfy! Everything is fresh and good to the last drop. They make own preserves and almost everything is provided from the property. Hopefully we can add more pictures after today's visit. Be sure to arrive early, because the place gets filled up... I felt like I was walking into a charming rustic home in the country. The garden is absolutely beautiful. We sat next to the windows to enjoy the view and after our huge breakfast took a walk through the garden and down to see the ducks and geese. Homemade whole wheat breat was out of this world! Jams and spreads... More

When you walk into this restaurant you will find yourself surrounded by some beautiful gardens and the restaurant's various beautiful dining rooms. I was amazed by the complimentary starters; home made jam, fresh delicious cream and cheese, tomato sauce, home made wheat bread, fresh hand tossed tortillas and great pot coffee. To me, that would have been enough for breakfast... More
