Few months back this place was number one in tally. It still is but no one is writing reviews for them. Food is fresh and fried just right. Comes out of the kitchen in a hurry and I ispiping hot. The oysters are the best...More

Oh my goodness! The fried grouper is to die for...ok so is the shrimp....ok ,so are the crab claws! Possibly one of Tallahassee's best fried seafood places! Not an otter lover myself but saw tons of folks choking down on them. Family run business for...More

I heard raving word of mouth reviews, but was very disappointed with the they offered. Cole slaw that appeared to be very watery and appeared to be prepared in a blender, cheese grits that appeared to be watery and instant at that, and the fish...More

The food is ok at this place. But on my last visit I asked for a glass of water. Too late in the day for me to have a glass of iced tea. These people will not put a glass of ice water on your...More

We visited on Trip Advisor recommendation of 4 3/4 stars. Must be local thing. It truly is a hole in the wall type place. Hard to pick it out of the little corner it's tucked into behind the Subway. Service was average, taste was average,...More

For the money, the best seafood place around. Old school atmosphere. Parking is tough, and the location is tough for out of towners to locate, but its worth the fight for some throwback seafood the way we were supposed to eat it! Simple menu. Great...More

This was our first stop in Tallahassee and we weren't disappointed. Great fried seafood and sides. Friendly service, a quick stop and it filled us up.

I love this legendary seafood joint. Fresh local oysters and shrimp, fried to perfection, with decent sides and heavenly hushpuppies. Linger and watch a parade of local celebs smack their lips.

Shell is one of those uniques, difficult to explain, restaurants. No cc, no checks, CASH only. No alcohol served: BYOB, which I love 'cuz I can show up in mid-afternoon, sit at the bar with a friend, wash down 2 - 3 doz raw oysters...More

There's an abandoned gas station next door on the corner of Oakland and Adams. Shell's parking lot is tiny. Enjoy
