We visited on Friday night which was crazy busy. However our server Brandi was so so personable and accommodating. She remembered our favorite drink and provided us the recipe. The complimentary hush puppies, ceviche, raw oysters were incredible but our all time favorite was the 1lb of boiled shrimp is second to none. Can't believe how big the shrimp was.... More

We had a group of seven and everyone enjoyed their lunch here. It overlooked the water and was apart of the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks. The service was great! We also had drinks and they were enjoyable as well. They offered mostly seafood but had other options as well. Definitely a place I'd like to go back to!

Really liked this place. Sat by water in covered area. I had coconut shrimp and coleslaw, hubby had grouper por boy, friends had blackened grouper sandwich, and prime rib sandwich Everyone loved the food. I would recommend this place. The town Tarpon Springs is a cute sponge harvesting town with lots of shops

The menu was an wide array of tasty seafood dishes. The only issue we had was deciding which dish to order. The Calamari appetizer was very large and cooked perfectly (not to chewy). The lunch special was shrimp Marsala, soooo good. Shrimp Cajun Alfredo was lovely as well. My husband loved the fried shrimp with it's simple but tasty breeding.... More

Arrived about 5pm on President's Day and the place was "jumping", but only had to wait about 20 minutes for our table, right on the water. The hush puppies were really good and a nice complement to our coctails as we waited for the entrees. The view was great and so was the service and food. It was a fun... More

Rusty Bellies Waterfront Grill has a great location. Whether you dine inside, outside, or in the bar area, something is always happening on the water. The hush puppies are the best around. Today our server was Kristen. She is friendly and always checking back to see if we need anything.

We did have to wait over an hour to be seated (on a Sunday evening around 5 pm) but we had a four top by the bar, the live music was great, the drinks were good, and the meals were all good. The hush puppies that are served (in lieu of bread) are fantastic. Big portions and pretty reasonable price... More

We were told we would need to wait 1-1/2 hours but it was only 45. Sat around the bar drinking delicious sangria while we waited. Once seated on the outside patio, we were treated to truly delicious food. Crab Alfredo was Devine. Peel and eat shrimp were fresh and huge! Blackened scallop spinach salad was warm and wonderful. Will definitely... More

Description
My husband Jack and I, along with our daughter and son-in-law, welcome you to Rusty Bellies Waterfront Grill. Opened in June of 2005, Rusty Bellies is an achievement of three generations worth of goals spanning some thirty years. We are a family owned and operated establishment. Our family came to Tarpon Springs in the 1970's. My parents, Joe and Sue Reis, began the business by purchasing several boats, including a shrimp boat. Before long they had purchased the boat yard and developed the seafood business. In 1985, Jack and I took over operations, and it wasn't long before Jack began refurbishing boats. In 2002. we launched our shrimp boat, Julie Ann. The Julie Ann produces fresh gulf shrimp for Pelican Point Seafood and Rusty Bellies. Jack has since finished refurbishing the Redman, a grouper fishing boat, and the Crabracadabra, a stone crab boat. To this day the Julie Ann, Redman, and Crabracadabra are still family owned and operated by the Russells. Rusty Bellies Waterfront Grill is named for our family's love of fishing, namely gulf grouper fishing. A "Rusty Bellie" is the nickname given to the large male gag grouper. A "Rusty Bellie" generally ranges between twenty and sixty pounds, and is typically caught by the true at heart fisherpersons. As you look around our restaurant you will see photos of family, friends, and local fisherman that bring the freshest seafood to our dock. The menu gives credit to many of our fishermen by naming the dishes after their beloved boats. Of course, there are too many boats to give credit to each, but keep in mind their dedication to providing FRESH FLORIDA WILD CAUGHT SEAFOOD. It is an honor that we continue what our family began many yeas ago. We value our guests, and we are honored to have you dine with us. Please sit back and enjoy the view and allow us to prepare the freshest seafood, including gluten fee options, available for you. Julie and the Russell Family
