We had shrimp skewers and shrimp tacos w/ rice & beans. Both were very good meals. Reasonable prices, nice location on the water.

My wife and I read about this restaurant on the internet and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The interior is very natural for the setting and everything is very clean. It is definitely casual and the atmosphere is very informal. The food is excellent. It is the best seafood my wife and I have had... More

If you are tired of Greek food in Tarpon Springs stop at Rusty Bellies for great seafood. The sandwiches (mahi and grouper) are the best. Dinners of the same are delicious. There is usually a long line but you can walk around Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks while you wait and they will text you when your table is ready.

My family took me here for my birthday. It's the first time I'd been, and it was incredibly good! They serve the fish that their own ships catch, and even have a fresh fish market next door. It's a friendly place with good service, drinks, and exceptional sea food. We had a great time. If you're visiting the Tarpon Springs... More

Went here with family and would definitely return! The outdoor seating was unfortunately a longer wait, but indoors was fine. They have a great beer and drink menu, and the food menu is amazing! Fresh caught local fish, and very tastefully done. All of us had the grouper filet and they are HUGE! Almost too much for a portion, but... More

Nestled at the end of the road by the Tarpon Springs sponge docks is this little gem of a restaurant. Fresh food, great service and a good Ole time!

The view from the deck dining is great. Got to watch the parade of boats all done up for Christmas. The Crazy Zukes were underwhelming. Crab cake had plenty of Cranberry meat but not much flavor. Typical fried seafood.

This restaurant is known for fresh seafood brought in by local fishermen. Nice variety of sandwiches and seafood dishes. Reasonably priced. The outside dining area is covered. Enjoy watching boats passing by and wildlife. Maybe you'll get lucky to see a dolphin siting. Friendly staff! Overall this is a great place to dine on the water. The place is a... More

I'm used to tiny shrimp... but not here. They are by far the biggest and best shrimp in town. Avoid Friday and Saturday nights because of the crowds. Parking is a little rough too. View of Anclote River is great and outdoor waterside dining is available. Prices are about $20/entree, but worth every penny. Drink specials were $4 for house... More

Right on the water in Tarpon Springs. You can eat indoors or outdoors. Peel your own shrimp appetizer was big, fresh and excellent and serves with both cocktail sauce and drawn butter. With the butter - these shrimp were big enough to taste like mini lobster tails. I had a platter with grilled Mahi, with skewers of shrimp and scallops... More

Description
My husband Jack and I, along with our daughter and son-in-law, welcome you to Rusty Bellies Waterfront Grill. Opened in June of 2005, Rusty Bellies is an achievement of three generations worth of goals spanning some thirty years. We are a family owned and operated establishment. Our family came to Tarpon Springs in the 1970's. My parents, Joe and Sue Reis, began the business by purchasing several boats, including a shrimp boat. Before long they had purchased the boat yard and developed the seafood business. In 1985, Jack and I took over operations, and it wasn't long before Jack began refurbishing boats. In 2002. we launched our shrimp boat, Julie Ann. The Julie Ann produces fresh gulf shrimp for Pelican Point Seafood and Rusty Bellies. Jack has since finished refurbishing the Redman, a grouper fishing boat, and the Crabracadabra, a stone crab boat. To this day the Julie Ann, Redman, and Crabracadabra are still family owned and operated by the Russells. Rusty Bellies Waterfront Grill is named for our family's love of fishing, namely gulf grouper fishing. A "Rusty Bellie" is the nickname given to the large male gag grouper. A "Rusty Bellie" generally ranges between twenty and sixty pounds, and is typically caught by the true at heart fisherpersons. As you look around our restaurant you will see photos of family, friends, and local fisherman that bring the freshest seafood to our dock. The menu gives credit to many of our fishermen by naming the dishes after their beloved boats. Of course, there are too many boats to give credit to each, but keep in mind their dedication to providing FRESH FLORIDA WILD CAUGHT SEAFOOD. It is an honor that we continue what our family began many yeas ago. We value our guests, and we are honored to have you dine with us. Please sit back and enjoy the view and allow us to prepare the freshest seafood, including gluten fee options, available for you. Julie and the Russell Family
