We dropped into this pub a few years ago, on this more recent visit, on our recommendation we went with two other couples. Would it be as good as we remembered. Yes it is! A proper pub, no fancy frills, great food, great beer, welcoming hosts, classic olde English pub ambience, nowhere does it like we do. Full of interesting... More

A pub full of character and a warm welcome. Try the ham, egg and chips challenge. The beer is spot on.

A wonderful evening with friends, great atmosphere. Caroline and Phil really know how to run a local. (Wish we lived in the village (or do we, could we afford it, we would be in there every night!!!) Food excellent , service excellent, atmosphere excellent. Looking forward to the next visit.

We camped just up the road and were told by the owner of the site that this local pub served amazing food if we needed lunch. We took his advice and weren't disappointed in the slightest. It was the most amazing portion of ham egg and chips I think I've had.... There was enough ham on my plate for me... More

Plenty of historical knicknackery lauding Britishness to peruse in this quaint, thatched pub. Meals are very basic, but not particularly expensive. Small car park opposite. Real ales available, but our beers didn't come to the top of the glass.

Just popped in for a 'sundowner'or rather a beer o two late Sunday evening! Friendly welcome from the landlord, lovely traditional country village pub, eye watering collection of beer mats, good beer, tables and chairs outside to catch the sunset and a naughty couple of clay pigs on the pub window sill ....mmmnn!Popular with locals, car parking and cheery atmosphere.
