It's small y'all. Didn't have a problem with that, it was date night so small = romantic for us as compared to some of the other restaurants in the area that were larger but very over crowed and longer wait times. It was a Saturday night at 7:30pm. The food was tasty but...the staff, including the owner (who was present)... More

I'm a native Atlantan and eat out regularly. Yesterday was my second and last trip to this place. I've been all over France many times and never had food this tasteless. In fact, my sandwich tasted awful and had a bad odor. The onion soup was tasteless as well and had a silver dollar size of thin cheese on a... More

A small restaurant in downtown Decatur that's been in same location for several years. Owner is always welcoming and has done an excellent job of decorating the small room to make it seem as French as possible. Menu isn't extensive but food is very good and priced reasonably. Some dishes reflect the German history of the Alsace region and are... More

We have been there a few times and never been disappointed. The food is solid, good regional French. The service is quite good, friendly and unpretentious. The only mild complaint relate to the paucity of vegetarian dishes. Beware though that you cannot make reservations for 4 people or less (not couple-friendly) and the restaurant is small and tends to be... More

We have dined here on numerous occasions and rarely does the food disappoint. This time we tried the liver pate - simply outstanding and the beouf bourgignon also excellent. Unfortunately for a small cafe seating around 30 plus diners it still requires more than one up to speed competent server. The lady in charge is delightful, but whoever she has... More

This is continental comfort food in a quirky, warm setting. The food is substantial and seems to me best for a cold night. Love to go here when I need a lift from the winter doldrums.

Cafe Alsace is a French restaurant. I thought the menu was a little quirky, but I am no expert on French food. Oddly, the wine list is quite small. Not much of a selection in my opinion. Still, if you like French food, it is certainly worth a try.

This small cafe is so authentic..down to our French server. We have been to France and this cafe is as close as it gets! You can taste the fresh herbs in every dish. Excellent escargot! And the bread!! Oh so perfect! A must is the French Onion soup, wonderful. The atmosphere isn't "fancy", but it is like a cafe in... More

I visit Café Alsace once a year on an annual trip to Atlanta. We usually join family for dinner and did so again this year. Because of Hurricane Matthew, we ate here three times in October. Dinner was spectacular with wonderful pate, cheese board and Tarte Flambe aka Flamenkuche. Our second visit included the special Oktoberfest spaetzle which was too... More

During the 2016 Decatur Book Festival I had the opportunity to visit Cafe Alsace for dessert. I wish we'd made reservations for dinner. The cafe is extremely cozy and charmingly decorated. The theme could be described as romantic Parisian tea room. The menu is brief, comprehensive, and seasonal. This is not a place to visit if you are in a... More
