There were three of us in the group and we enjoyed a very yummy lamb dish. The dessert was not so great, not great value for money. The service was terrific.

Good for a Saturday afternoon drink, decent pricing and service, but seating is very limited as areas close off early for events and functions and you end up left standing around

What an experience it is to find such a wonderful small local pub in north east Victoria. Ordering the Chef's Tasting Menu - 5 delicious courses matched with beautiful local wines - is a culinary experience not to be missed. The food was spectacular with every mouthful a real surprise. The quality was superb and each course was just delicious... More

Absolutely beautiful food. I ordered the slow cooked beef cheeks and they were the best I have ever eaten, they were served with creamy mashed potatoes and some cabbage and I’m never a fan of cabbage but I ate the whole lot. The beef cheeks had a very interested buttery crumb sprinkled on the top and it was all beautiful.... More

Visiting the wineries of North East vic and sick of all those over priced yuppie winery meals, then duck 5 mins down the road for some real food at the plough inn. Great sized meals, well presented and tasted fantastic. If it's a choice of overpriced cheese & olives at a winery or a great steak & veg at plough... More

Andrew the chef here at the Plough Inn is a bloke that has truly found his calling. The Plough Inn has something for everyone. It has a bar, a ladies lounge, a restaurant, and a brilliant beer garden nuzzled away underneath a canopy of vines. At the very cute cellar door.........you can sample some amazing wines that Andrew has sourced... More

We were both surprised and delighted by this gem. We decided to try The Plough Inn after reading the impressive reviews. At first glance it looked like a historic country pub in the middle of no where. After taking a look at both the bar and the a la carte menus we were all tantalised by the a la carte... More

We dropped in for a couple of beers and hot chips after a long ride. Can't comment on the food but the chips and beer were good. The beer garden is a gorgeous space coveted by vines. They seemed understaffed but it was Easter Monday, and they did speed our chips through before a huge lunch order so no complaints... More

We had the degustation dinner menu, five courses with matching wines - simply magnificent, and not at an OTT price. The scallops, the beef cheeks and (this from someone who is ambivalent about strawberries) the strawberry dessert were all memorable, congrats guys. Wines were all (gasp!) locally sourced, from first class smaller wineries in Beechworth / King Valley - so... More

We live in Wangaratta but had not visited The Plough Inn for several years but decided to give it a go last week as we were rather tired of the relatively limited number of places locally and were very pleasantly surprised. We visited on a Thursday night and it turned out we were the only people in the place which... More
