Was quite unimpressed with the quality of food. First and foremost, I felt like this was a fast food version of a seafood restaurant. Most everything was fried. Fish fingers were soggy and full of oil. The burger was requested at medium and the previously frozen patty came out very pink. Onion straws were waaaaaaay to thin. No consistency and... More

I'm sorry for your experience. Almost everything we have that is fried is also offered as grilled or blackened. Although the menu states the different options, we are making a menu change soon that will make it much easier to read. I will look into the grease issue. We filter the fryers daily and change our grease weekly. If you... More

Slow service, no specials and then it took 1 1/2 hours to pay the bill, just because we wanted to split the bill. Incompetent server, tepid food. Nothing more I can say sadly.

Good food. Nice location, good service and reasonable prices. Stopped by on our way to Florida. We went after dark but I think that during daylight the view of the river would be great

First - this is an amazing location. The view is great. and unlike a lot of restaurants that have views - you aren't paying a huge price for food and the food is good. We ate here twice during a recent stay Fort McCallister State Park. I highly recommend the Jalopeno poppers and Conch fritters. The poppers have a wee... More

We ate at the Fish Tales restaurant on the 5th November and were greeted warmly and got an outside table. The staff are very friendly and informative in describing the food and beer that is on offer. There is ample parking by the restaurant and across the road. We had some excellent food and beer and had a great evening.... More

It's quite a way off the beaten track but this busy waterside restaurant/bar serves good food. We had the fish au gratin and shrimp po'boys (hot and tasty) followed by key lime pie and salted caramel cheesecake, washed down with a couple of draft beers. We sat outside and listened to an eclectic selection of 60s and 70s music. Great... More

Visiting my daughter in Richmond Hill, she recommended going to Fish Tales. I ordered the peel and eat shrimp, some of the best I've had, fresh from local waters. Worth the drive.

Fish Tales is trying to be too much like a sit-down casual dining restaurant and bar versus a good local authentic dockside seafood restaurant. I was very surprised to not see flounder, trout, and other fresh local caught fish. The best thing we had was the lightly fried tuna appetizer. The fried fish was frozen Swai versus something local. The... More

Nice outside hang for a beer. Food is average and the staff very friendly. We had a nice breeze to add to our experience.

We ate there on Tuesday night. What a disappointment. We had eaten there several times in the Spring of 2015 and liked it very much. This time the food was only so-so. The service was lacking. My friend ordered the she-crab soup. It did not come until the salads came. I ordered a Caesar Salad and to my surprise I... More
