This place is very nostalgic. It looks and feels like a diner from the 50's. It has the best food and best atmosphere. The waitresses are great and they really love to interact with their guest. Give them a try and you won't regret it.

I would give this place a 5 as the waitress was very friendly, food was good and the place is clean. Problem that I have is that they skimp on your food portions. I had the Chicken & Dressing, okra, green beans and went for...More

This is a great little family/50's style restaurant with a meat & 3 special on weekdays. They serve breakfast all day. They rotate different delicious desserts.

I remember going to Roy's as a teen when it was a late-nite dive. Now, they do breakfast all day and lunch. Their homemade chips could use a little salt. It'd stick better if they salted while hot. Theirs a shaker on the table and...More

I just happened to see Roy's driving by while working my way through the town. I must say I enjoyed the grilled pimento cheese with house made chips. I had stopped in for breakfast for lunch, but went with the daily lunch special. Also, the...More

Roy's Grill first opened in 1934 on the Old Federal Highway, now Chickamauga Ave., By Roy Lewis. In 1949, the original Roy's was torn down so the Federal Highway could be widened. It was quickly rebuilt and Roy's became a popular hangout for students and an iconic stop for tourists passing through Chattanooga. Roy's has an authentic and welcoming 1950's atmosphere, which draws both locals and tourists to come back again and again. Not only does Roy's serve the best burgers in town, but we also offer delicious southern home cooking. We have meatloaf, mac n' cheese, country fried steak, mashed potatoes, slaw, chili, fried chicken, pinto beans, bbq pork, and fried okra! Stop by Roy's today for some delicious and affordable southern style cooking! Read more about our history and food on the about page
