Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We only stayed one night but hope to return for longer. The Wheatsheaf is a delightful place to stay. We were made very welcome. Our bedroom was large and comfortable. The breakfast was superb, with plenty of choice. West Beckham is ideally placed for visits...to Holt, Sheringham, Blickling etc. Thank you to everyone for making our stay enjoyable.More

Eaten here twice in the past two weeks and it was superb on both occasions. Very friendly welcome from both the landlady and the locals. Lovely food. The homemade sausages were outstanding and the fish and chips were really tasty, brilliant batter and tasty fresh...fish. Three cask beers and a good selection of keg ones plus cider. Dog friendly as opposed to dog tolerant.More

Probably my favourite pub around this area. excellent selection of beers and some really nice food in a lovely rural setting staff and service is also really good, and there is a big selection on the menu.

We took our Dutch family here for Sunday lunch today as we wanted a traditional Roast dinner in a traditional English pub. We were delighted with our meal, it was absolutely delicious in every way. The pub itself is charming as were the staff. Having...lived in the area for 2 years we’ve tried a few of the local pubs for Sunday lunches and this gem is by far our best experience. Highly recommended!More

What a fantastic gem of a place! We came to visit family who have moved to the area and felt completely at home with Linda and Peter. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Sid was fantastic and we were blown away by the quality...of his food. Definitely worth a visit, set in beautiful Norfolk countryside! Can't wait to visit in the sunshine! Already booked our return in May! Can't wait to see you all again! The Grays xMore

Lovely Sunday lunch, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, we sat in the garden area, tables were clean and tidy. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. We would definitely go again. Good price too for a Sunday lunch.

A very warm and friendly welcome greeted me as soon as I arrived at this place. I highly recommend it to others as it truly exceeded my expectations. They even graciously upgraded my room to a more luxurious and spacious one. The accommodation, cleanliness, service,...and flexibility with food ordering were all excellent. It's definitely a place worth visiting, and I am confident that others will have a great experience too. ROSE ORGaNICS LTDMore

The chef was away we were told but that’s not an excuse for an awful curry from the main menu we had to leave it the chicken was so dry and tasteless.

Seen trip advisor recommended so gave it a try. Visit was a Friday night which had entertainment. The guitarist was amusing and played brilliant blues. The music did not spoil the meal. The menu was basic, but don't let that deter you. The home cooked...curry was lovely with large chicken pieces. The steak pie was brilliant - chunky steak and rich gravy with fresh veg. Wish I'd had mash instead of chips. Thoroughly enjoyed the pastry too. Staff lovely. Well worth the drive - definitely recommend.More

We went for the Burn’s night pies and wow is all we can say. The pastry so light I had The haggis pie and my husband had the venison pie. The lightest pastry encased pies packed full were simply delicious served with a choice of...gravy, sauce and the veg perfect. My only comment would be to have the fire in the dining area lit for that real cosy pub feeling.More
