Company arrived from AZ. so it was fitting to take them to Sockeye (the Fairview Ave., Meridian, ID. location) where they're assured excellent wild-caught Idaho trout. I had called ahead to make reservations, but reservations are made only for 8 or more persons. It was...More

We were visiting friends in Boise and had the pleasure of experiencing the Sockeye Grill. The beer was great. The Porter was our favorite. We enjoyed the food also. The wait staff were helpful and friendly. We thought the fish tacos were super.

When I first arrived here in a rain storm I was disappointed that when I stepped under the supposed canopy that I got wetter than when I was in the rain, because of the gaping holes in it. This tainted my overall experience here. I...More

Service was on top of things in spite of being busy. My husband let me taste his lemon ginger marinated ahi burger, and it was amazing. The role did not hold up well, so be prepared to use a fork. I ordered the steak pita, and...More

One thing I will say is that they have INCREDIBLE clam chowder! A little bit of spice to it, not too much though, and very thick and creamy! Great flavor (not an over abundance of clams, but still fantastic!) I had the lemon pepper sockeye...More

We had a party of 12. Four orders were wrong. We had to find the waitress to get our checks. The food was unimpressive. I had salmon tacos with pineapple salsa; lots of pineapple, minimal salmon. Beer was good. Would probably be better place to...More

The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and a bar area, all non smoking. The menu is pretty good for a brewery. Try the salmon cakes or salmon strips. The offer their beer for carryout too. Definitely worth a try.

My party of four enjoyed lunch at this restaurant. I had the special of a Dip and Jalepeno Soup that was quite good. One person had cole slaw, but didn't like it...too much mayo. This was the only negative any of us experienced. I recommend...More

Description
Sockeye Brewing's 19-year history is an inspired one. We are both inspired to uphold the quality of the original brews, and inspired to innovate and push new boundaries with our newer brews and small-batch concoctions. What started as a river guide's small-batch brewing effort evolved into a larger capacity, hand-crafted brewery with two full service Pub and Grills. Sockeye Brewing also has a canning operation and distributes fine handcrafted beers throughout the states of Idaho, Utah and Eastern Washington. At the new West Boise location, on Fairview near Cloverdale Rd, a pub and grill is now open, where Sockeye fans can enjoy a fresh brew on tap. Creative food and 16 styles of craft beers including barrel aged, nitro and cask conditioned styles, are served in a Northwest-style lodge environment. Tastings and tours are available upon request. This location houses a 20bble brewing system, and is home to our canning and packaging operation. Our original west Boise location, at Cole near Ustick, continues to offer Sockeye brews, delicious pub fair, and live music-all in the friendly atmosphere locals have come to enjoy for years. This is also where we continue to brew our small-batch brews with our seven-barrel system. Both locations are Boise originals, serving some of the finest award winning beers in the Northwest region in a casual, family friendly environment.
