Fish and chips were very good (small portion but cheap). Nice flavor and spice on them. IPA was cold. Burger was good. Kids got mediocre reviews (but its a kids menu). One bug open room - so loud but fun. Overall a nice place to go. More of a fancy bar menu - lots of sandwich option.

This restaurant is overpriced and has mediocre food at best! The parking is very limited, the service is so slow (do severs actually work there?) and the roof is so high in the Eagle location everything and everyone echoes. It is so loud indoors that you literally have to yell at your dining companions or lean across the table to... More

Not sure why this is a Boise area local favorite. I continue going back, I keep meeting friends here, but always disappointed. For one, I'm so excited that Boise has a non chain restaurant, and I assume that's why it's popular. Not to mention, you can do the fabulous Boise Greenbelt and grab something here as part of the experience.... More

If you drink, you will love the distilled spirits made right here. But for me the real bargain is the food. They have a great menu and the sandwiches are an especially good bargain. Often crowded, but it seems you can always get a seat. Often noisy, too. However, you can't beat the atmosphere, the food and the bargain prices.... More

I am always pleased with the food, drink and service at Bardenay. The only thing I noticed is how noisy it is! If you need a place to visit, might go somewhere else.

I highly recommend the seared ahi sandwich. So good. The service here can be a litle slow and as far as local prices go its about average maybe high aberage- but the food is killer and the drinks are amazing. The satays are good but really only worth the cost during happy hour. Other than those the food portions are... More

The appetizer was great, as was the service. I got a hamburger and fries and it was just 'OK'...I'd get something else if I go back. Atmosphere was nice. It's 'grad your own table' so be assertive.

Thanks for your perspective Adrienne. Please do return & we recommend the trout, salmon or steaks. Entree salads & tacos are killer to for lunch. More

Bardenay's is a fun place to go eat dinner; when the weather is nice - get a table outside. I love going to Bardenay's and my favorite dish is the Trout. So delicious you will want to order it every time you enter the doors.

Bardenay is one of my favorite restaurants in Boise and it serves what might be my favorite cocktail - their Ginger Rum Cocktail made with rum from their distillery. They have a great cheese plate, and I often get their wonderful pork chops with garlic mashed potatoes. Their outside seating is nice when warm enough. INside it can be a... More

Description
Established in 1999. With three locations in Boise, Eagle and Coeur d'Alene that capture the spirit of Idaho and the Northwest, Bardenay Restaurant and Distillery is a cornerstone of Idaho's restaurant and bar industry. The original establishment is located in a once empty warehouse on the Historic Basque Block in downtown Boise, Idaho. On April 25th, 2000, history was made when we served the first cocktail to included spirits distilled in a restaurant in the US. As the nation's first restaurant distillery, Bardenay has set an industry precedent as the first full service restaurant and bar with the ability to create handcrafted liquor on-site. Our distillers are happy to give tours as time allows. Please ask your server if you are interested in a closer look at our operations. p.s. We are only allowed to sell our fine spirits by the drink. If you would like to purchase a bottle, you may do so at many of our state liquor stores.
