It was a Saturday afternoon and every other quick food joint was packed. We were in a hurry so we stopped here for a lack of time. The employees were very nice but very slow. We took the food to go and when we got to sit down and eat we were pleasantly surprised. The food was good, well made... More

Most people who live in Idaho will probably not understand this review. Anyone who has ever lived in the South and particularly the Great State of Texas, will definitely know what I am talking about. Okra. That ugly vegetable when boiled looks like slime but when fried, it might as well be called a delicacy to southern folks. I recently... More

We ordered a family pack, with pulled pork and beef brisket. The meat was bone dry, even after pouring on their overly-sweet (regular) sauce. The potato salad had a tasty sour cream dill dressing, but was extremely watery and soup-like with only a few bits of potato in it. The mac & cheese was overcooked to the point of pastyness.... Disappointing meal, with dried out, tough ribs. Baked beans were on a par with those from a can. All in all, not at all what we were hoping for.

This place is the bomb. Get the 3 meat platter with the pulled pork (succulent - juicy and just the right amount of smokey flavor), the sausage (without the cheese) and a couple of baby back ribs. Add on the cole slaw (cold and crunchy) and bbq beans - fresh, warmed, and a spicy bite to them. Complementary soft serve... More

The Boise area has seen some great BBQ places come and go in the past 5 years. Dickey's entered the scene and has several locations in and around Boise. The pulled pork is good and a co-worker had the brisket and said it was "pretty good." If you want a clean, easy place for lunch, this is a good stop.

My family and I eat at Dickeys regularly and enjoy the food. This is the first time we have ate at location. My wife and I each got the meat platter with sausage, ham and pulled pork, my son had sausage. After taking a bit of the ham I thought it had a funny taste, before I could say anything... More

The location is pretty cramped, and the food is OK-ish but nothing to write home about, although it's a definite step up from Mickey Ray's. IMHO, the beef brisket is the best shot. Unless it's a peach cobbler day, don't waste your money on the sides. If you have kids along, they'll like the ice cream machine (free with a... More

The tittle says it all, no atmosphere, no service, over smoked, over priced mediocre food. Another restaurant off the list.
