A must for big breakfasts and coffee. Big portions and selection. Don't forget the free WiFi. Great decor and atmosphere.

We stopped by for dinner and it was warm and comfy inside and not crowded at all. The food was good and plentiful - we ended up taking leftovers home. My sisters had pie and liked the chocolate-peanut butter one but didn't care for the rhubarb.

This is truly one of Sandpoints best kept secrets. Some reviews relayed that Panhandler Pies may not be "touristy" enough but if you're looking for a great, down home like mama made it meal, go here. I have never had a problem with the service and everyone has always been friendly. The pie is amazing and the food is always... More

Stopped in just to grab some pie slices to go after having dinner at Hydra and deciding not to stay there for dessert. It was much cheaper than expected and the pies were delicious! Didn't go for dinner but it looked like they had a large menu leaning towards more Homestyle food

We stopped for lunch at the Panhandler. We had their lunch special, which was sandwich, soup, and pie. My sandwich was okay, the chicken noodle soup had homemade noodles which were great, and the pumpkin pie was really good. Best pie I have had in a restaurant. Great family restaurant with very nice servers and staff.

The best for sit down family dinning. good food, good portions, plus their own fresh baked pies cinnamon rolls etc. The panhandler hamburger is the buy far the best ham, burger for the money in town.

The food is 3 1/2 stars - above average. You will most likely find better food somewhere else. But this is the place you meet the locals. You see the young and the old, the working people, the real estate agents and friends all around you. It is a very nice place to meet and talk while you have a... More

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. I found the menu fairly standard much like a JBs or Shari's restaurant. I ordered a hamburger, it was fine. The service table side was good however there was quite a wait at the counter to pay as it seemed the waitress was the only one that could take my money. I will... More

Our lodging host at Talus Rock recommended this place. We liked the wooden decor and small town atmosphere. It was bustling and full at lunch time. They serve all day breakfasts which seem to have healthy ingredients. They also serve soups and salads and fajitas and quesadillas as well as an array of pies which are apparently made fresh daily.... More

If you're looking for a restaurant that serves quality, old-fashioned, "home-cooked" food, you must eat here! And don't leave without pie! I had a piece of pecan pie, heated with ice cream and my husband had peach pie, also heated with ice cream. Simply wonderful!
