This small place is great. If you want some of their delicious, famous biscuits 'n gravy, make sure you get there early! I always get an omelet with home style fries and it also comes with the B&G so I never leave hungry. Staff is great too.

Mary Lou's is a staple for the community. The biscuits and gravy are referred to as the best in the world by countless people including myself, just don't tell grandma.

This is a fun place for old time Dinner food. The restaurant takes you back to the fifties and sixties.

This place has been around forever. Great Breakfast, great coffee and great people! Mary Lou's is like stepping back in time. It is like the Mom and Pop, 50's style restaurant. If you are in Carbondale it is a must see!! Best Biscuits and Gravy, Period! And the Bacon is awesome too!

This place is a part of local history. We have lived in the area for years but had never made it in for breakfast. I wish we hadn't. We sat at the counter and were able to watch the staff in the back pull just about everything out of a bag or pre-made container. I was hoping for something, anything... More

Sorry you were not happy with our place just to let you know we do cook many items on our menu from scratch. Our gravy is homemade in the same skillets my mom used when she first opened. Most restaurants everywhere use both prepared and scratch food. The difference is all of our cooking pretty much visible to our customers... More

This place is very good! The food is inexpensive so you will probably have to wait in line for quite awhile to get seated. I believe that it is cash only so hit the ATM.

I have been here for breakfast several times but still wouldn't classify it as anything spectacular. The biscuits & gravy are ok but I wouldn't wait in line to get them. The service has always been friendly and efficient but nothing that went above and beyond. I would recommend that you stop in and make up your own mind but... More
