This is a nice place for lunch or a pastry. Small place but friendly and welcoming. Excellent baked breads also.

The baked goods are beautiful and delicious at Pekara. It is such an authentic bakery. I suggest trying anything and everything there and top it off with great coffee or hot tea.

The food here is excellent but the staff treats you like you are an annoyance to them. French onion soup is my favorite there but the mac and cheese is very good too.

I just had the best sandwich I've had in Champaign-Urbana. It was the warm Banh-Mi pork sandwich at Pekara, which I took home. The bread was tender and fresh, the pulled pork very well seasoned, the pickled onions, cilantro, lime, and other toppings made a perfect flavor combination. I enjoy spicy food, and it had just the right amount of... More

This bakery is a favorite of mine for bringing small groups (3 or less). It has incredibly small seating so it can be difficult to find seating for 3. Everything is baked fresh and the groups I'm with have never had a bad dish. My guests and I have gotten crepes, sweets, sandwiches, and quiche. I have never bought the... More

I am very much a lover of all things European, especially French since I am a French teacher. Everything looked delicious and top quality, which pleased me greatly due to my travels in Europe. Today, I had a top-notch croissant and an iced chai latter. I loved the atmosphere and the décor. If I come back to Champaign, I would... More

I love crepes and there's not an abundance of places to get those around here. Quick service, decent prices, excellent food.

They make their breads, deserts, and soups in house, and they are amazing. Most of my friends are all for Cafe Kopi (which is yummy in its own regard) but for me Pekara has things going for me 1 their deserts are all house made and delcious. 2. They have this thing called a Belgian Chocolate Milkshake its to die... More
