Went here with some colleagues for a quick dinner. We ended up with ordering as much as possible, and then shared. Everything is so tasty and fresh. The starter brushetta w. mushrooms is divine. A bit difficult to find this restaurent, but absolutely worth the effort.

This restaurant is great for friends dinner, date night or other. Not to expensive and great sharing plates. The ambience is cozy and modern. Service was excellent, very friendly staff. I would highly recommend trying when visiting Chicago! Great salads, appetizers, pasta, and pizza. ;)

The dinner I had here has mixed reviews. The appetizers were outstanding. There was a warm out of the over bread with a green truffle cream sauce to dip in. The mushroom bruschetta was out of this world and the salads were also excellent. Ironically the two choices of past that I tried were not good at all. I would... More

We had our son and daughter-in-law's baby shower there last week. We went for brunch with 22 people. They gave us the back half of the restaurant and it worked out perfect. A big thanks to Brooke Walton, General Manager, for making this special day really special. We had a Prix Fixe brunch which had a large assortment of dishes... More

The homemade pasta was amazing. Pappardelle with wild boar ragu was excellent. My wife had a special fall pasta that tasted like fall in a bowl. Food was great, only issue was the service. Food took forever and was not busy at all. The food is great but probably wouldn't go back because of the service.

Love this place. Went there after work for the first time a few weeks ago while visiting for a few days and was pleasantly surprised! We had the salumi, prosciutto and cheese appetizer - amazing! apples, figs, pickles and mustard on the side - this will be my main meal next time! After that we ordered several different types of... I went here with a group of girlfriends and we loved our dinner! We shared 2 pizzas -the Margherita and Triple Pepperoni. With the Caprese salad and another side, Casoncelli. The appetizers were served promptly and we had plenty to share. The margherita pizza was my favorite. Fun, lively atmosphere and a chic space, prices are affordable for this area... More

In the middle of River North on Grand avenue, this is an Italian gem. Extensive wine list, we had a burrata and tomato fondue, delicious. The mussels were excellent along with the wild boar ragu pappardelle. Dessert was a real ricotta and lemon cheesecake. Service was great, attentive and fast and the restaurant was lively and cozy. Excellent and will... More

La Madia has a new Sunday night family style menu which was a major hit with us. When we arrived and were told they were trying out a new menu I was a little concerned it might be a little bumpy. Their regular menu was also available but the family style prix fixe dinner seemed like such a good deal,... More

Fantastic food and service at Osteria La Madia. I was in town for work and needed a place to have a business dinner for 6 persons. After making the reservation online, I called ahead and informed them that we needed a table (and not the counter facing the open kitchen). To my delight, they had set aside a table in... More

Description
At La Madia, two pleasures - great food and distinctive, delicious wines - come together. La Madia is an urban restaurant that upholds Italian tradition. Every day, our chefs make our pizza dough and fresh pasta from scratch from little more than flour, water, and salt. The menu is designed for sharing, with flavor-packed, wood-fired pizzas that change seasonally, inventive salads, and savory pasta dishes. Desserts are all made on the premises, in keeping with what's available in the market. The wine list is a wine lover's dream, with more than 75 wines by the glass and hundreds of bottles. And every week, we feature two of our favorite wines for just $5 per glass. In addition to wine and more than 25 beers, La Madia offers innovative cocktails, many of which are made from spirits infused in-house.
