During a recent trip to Italy with my son who lives in Chicago we had brunch at this restaurant. The food impressed enough to go back when returning through Chicago on way home. I had the California omelette with sausage, goat cheese and avocado both times. It was that good folks. My son had the pulled pork eggs Benedict and... More

Nice local eatery, especially for breakfast. I've a city apartment down the street and see a lot of returning customers here. Healthy food options at a fair price. Warm and prompt service. Often has a que, but the line moves quickly -- worth the wait.

Get out of Chicago station and head straight to the Windy City Cafe for a truly enjoyable breatfast. Hearty, healthy and truly fresh food made simple but with loads of flavor.

The breakfasts and the atmosphere of this cafe cannot be beat. We had breakfast here three times in our six days in Chicago. It is located literally above the Chicago Ave Blue Line L station. Eat here!

Some local friends love this place, so we ate brunch here on a Sunday morning. (It is a short walk to St. John Cantius Church.) We were seated quickly, and the service was very good. It's a quaint little cafe with a nice menu, and I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

Get there early or you may have a 15-20 minute wait. Either way it is worth it and great people watching. The place appears small but there is more seating on the other side of the wall that you can not see from the door. I had the biscuits and gravy, large portion and very good. My husband had the...
