Recently we got together at this place in the evening for a dinner with few friends. We were 17 of us.....all vegetarians! This place is cozy and friendly with excellent vegetarian dishes, cold and hot. Beet salad as well as apple salad was very good. All the other items that we tried were Very tasty and worth the trip to... More

Overall the food here was very good. We had a bunch of Vegetarian "tapas." The beets with blue cheese were fantastic. The sesame noodles and brussels sprouts were fine, nothing special. The black bean based chili and the baked goat cheese were also very tasty. The mana sliders, their signature dish, were definitely great. Overall the food was interesting and... More

I just love this place. I am not a vegetarian but I think everything on the menu is amazing. I went with a mixed group of vegetarians and not-vegetarians, all female. My favorite style of eating is tapas and healthy. This menu was perfect for me. We ordered these cold plates: sesame noodles and seaweed cucumber salad. Both were excellent.... More

I am not a vegetarian. I really like this spot, however. The dishes they have are hearty and filling and often quite spicy if you order right. It is an ideal spot to catch up with your gal-pals and share some wine, crusty bread, and amazing schmear. Service is very warm, prompt, and witty. If I had to fault it,... More

It's nice to eat at a restaurant that is vegetarian, and your order is not one of the few items on the menu that's meat free (or adjusted). The food was delicious and, I'll say, innovative. An enjoyable repast.

I have been to Mana many times, and it's amazing. Mana serves some of the best vegan food in Chicago. Although there often is a short wait to be seated, it's definitely worth it.

Pros: Great spot in the heart of Wicker Park. Has a really young and urban vibe. Perfect place to spark some conversation. The food options and presentation were really innovative and our servers were helpful as well. Cons: I think the taste is a little overrated and the serving sizes are very small as well. Tip: Stay away from the... More

They offer a small and large size of everything, so you can try a few different things. Even the small size is decent portion for the price.

Mana Food Bar was actually more of a 3.5. This is the kind of place you take your non-veg friends or family to and they just don't get excited over veg food from it. It's good but not great and nothing particularly stands out to make them order it over meat. Service was friendly and there's a cute, intimate setting... More

Typically the vegetarian dish at a restaurant is an after thought. It's placed on the menu to please a small portion of the eating population. That is why a restaurant like Mana Foodbar is so refreshing. Each dish was well crafted and had a nice balance of flavor and texture. My wife and I ate here with some friends and... More
