The concept of farm direct to table isn't new, Zingerman in Ann Arbor has been at it for a long time. I feel Publican food quality and taste is good but wasn't amaze or think they are any fresher than most other restaurants. I have eaten there few times, each time I come away not being impress and think I... More

The restaurant theme is different as is the menu and I applaud their attempt to steer groups toward family style ordering and eating - why not try several dishes. But I found their menu a bit difficult with varying size portions. We over-ordered by a significant margin and it's not cheap.

This is a fantastic dining experience. Full of energy, rawness, and adventure and that's just the food!, It's michellin meets beer hall. I had the tasting menu, wonderful, after about 6 courses they realized they were giving me the 2-person portions, so I was well fed. I also met one of the managers who chatted abour the menu ( the... This was our first visit. It was recommended to us. These people also own the siena bar a block west. It was full so we came over to the Publican. Glad we did. It was less expensive, just as cool, and the bartenders were good and the atmospher was good. We'll certainly go back.

Wow, this place is absolutely amazing. Packed on a Monday night. Reservations a must. We decided on the nine course chef's choice. Didn't know what would come to the table. All was absolutely the best. Great service and fun evening.

After hearing about the Publican for years from friends, we finally decided to give it a shot. Overall, it did not disappoint. The broccolini came out first. The vegetables were fresh and with superb seasonings. We also had the wild mushroom dish, which was excellent. They were decadent and served on toast with I believe goat cheese. We tried one... Warning: This is THE BEST restaurant I think I have been to all year. The service and staff is amazing and super helpful, strongly recommend making a reservation. This place is certainly worth it. The restaurant does a great job at preparing dishes to serve 2 people. Perfect. We started out with the tuna sampler (we tried all 3: light,... More

This was an amazing meal! I was a little concerned after reading reviews of the chef's tasting menu on other sites, but this experience was fantastic. The service the food were all top notch! We began our meal with oysters (which I don't often get) - they were outstanding!! Our next entree was fried sweet potatoes with candied nuts and... More

My girlfriend took me there to celebrate my birthday. The small plate options are great for trying a variety of dishes, even for 2 people. We shared the barbecue carrots, avocado salad, farm chicken and half taste of a ham. All were excellent - with robust flavor and cooked to perfection. For dessert I had brown sugar pavlova as a birthday... More

REALLY enjoyed the Publican. It's expensive, but this local farm restaurant with innovative dishes was an excellent experience. I'm very happy that our group had a more expanded pallet and encouraged me to try a variety of dishes - they were all expertly created with delectable flavor - loved them! Fine alcohol is also a staple, and we had a... More
