At our hotel concierge's suggestion, we went to Henri for our thirtieth anniversary dinner. Because we had play tickets that night, he arranged for them to seat us a little after their normal closing time which was very much appreciated. The food is classic old...More

Though just a "tad" pricey compared to what I'm use to, Henri's was the BEST meal and experience that I've ever have had. Considering everything, I can not even complain about the price. The only place I can compare it to is the "GAGE" which...More

While in town for a convention, we dined here on a Sunday evening. Every part of the experience was outstanding. The service was simply outstanding. The food quality was excellent, but the prestentation was even better. The money spent was well worth it!

Situated on the grand avenue (Michigan Ave) across from Millennium Park, Henri's is the perfect place to people watch on the outdoor patio (can be a bit noisy with many people watching you eat), or dine elegantly indoors under molded ceiling, chandeliers and tasteful decor...More

Classic French restaurant on Michigan Avenue. The food and service are both excellent and the wine list is extensive and varied. I had the scallops followed by the rabbit cassoulet (one of the best I have ever had) and a very accomplished creme brûlée. This...More

What a great experience all around. The service is accommodating and pleasant without being obsequious or fawning. The food is inventive and original, but not over-the-top wacky. The room is calming, serene, but not dull. Excellent wine list and nice attention to little details like...More

"Exquisite" is a summary, but it doesn't give a clear sense of our visit. Henri is a quiet, beautiful retreat from the bustle of Michigan Ave--though it's on Michigan Ave. We were greeted and seated by polite and friendly staff. Our pre-dinner cocktails were exactly...More

A very classy Haute Cuisine American restaurant serving clever takes on classic dishes. The service is professional and friendly. The wine list is extensive and fairly-priced.

Husband had rabbit which was delicious and did not taste like chicken (more like pork). Elegant service and we were not rushed. We were referred by concierge and it was a good referral.

From the creators of The Gage comes Henri — energetically American, French influenced. Heralded as an "instant classic", Henri offers fine dining without pretention. Under the direction of Executive Chef Chris Gawronski, Henri’s menu is influenced by the refining principles of classical cuisine. Innovative dishes like kampachi crudo join traditional favorites such as foie gras, steak tartare, Dover sole and ribeye au poivre. The tasting menu highlights the bounty of the season, accompanied by perfectly paired wines by sommelier Jason Wagner. The carefully curated wine list is almost exclusively biodynamic, while cocktails are both creative and classic. Reminiscent of a European salon, Henri provides an elegant respite from bustling Michigan Avenue.
