Lizzie McNeill's Irish Pub is the only Irish Pub currently located on the Chicago River. Don't be confused by its listed address, 400 North McClurg Court. It isn't there. Instead, it is tucked along Streeterville back streets on East River Street with the main branch of the Chicago River directly south and the Sheraton and Towers Hotel looming to the... More

Just got into the room at the Sheraton and need a quick bite to eat. Brought the family over to eat, upon entering the radio was blasting a song that repeated the "F" word over and over again! My kids are teen agers but it makes for a awkward situation! Food was good, and the wait staff was friendly. If... More

My husband and I wanted to find a nice place to eat that wasn't fussy. We couldn't have chosen a better place. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a pub and the server was friendly and attentive. We ordered an appetizer, which we shared but we should have brought a larger appetite because the entree we ordered was... More

Attended a conference at Sheraton Grand and needed a quick lunch between meetings. Went out the river level exit and across the street to Lizzie McNeill's Irish Pub. Had a nice salad and 3 pretzels delivered quickly with good service. Not fancy dining but really was exactly what I needed. A colleague had the Chicago dog, which she enjoyed. The... More

Atmosphere was fun as they had games to play while you waited. It was nicely decorated. Waitress was very attentive and helpful. Food was ok. Not anything to write home about - but ok. Price was right. It was on our way to Navy Pier and we were starved.

Whether Murphy's, Guinness or Smithwicks your favorite, there you are with prompt and smily service. Ate twice, excellent reuben on one occasion, CubMed roll on the other. My only regret: Not enough gurken to go with it. Altogether a pleasant stop for a quick bite.

This restaurant is a very good casual place to eat. Call it a Pub, a Bistro, a Deli, etc. It serves very good food for this style of restaurant. Menu items are served in large quantities (so you can consider splitting a plate,a sandwich, etc.) and at reasonable prices with friendly and prompt service. And it's very conveniently located about... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighbourhood Profile
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
