We shared the steak tartare and the crab cake, paired with a Santa Barbara Pinot Noir I'd never heard of, and we could not have been more blown away. My girlfriend felt sure she would be turning her nose up at the tartare, her first...More

We celebrated our 2nd anniversary here recently. The restaurant is comfortable and well appointed and the service was friendly, informative and efficient (without being intrusive). For starters, we had the Shrimp Cocktail and Bacon Roasted Tomato salad. Both were very generous (I recommend sharing one...More

Excellent experience - a trendy/lively vibe and the food was top notch (best steaks on our trip). Our server and Matt the manager provided five star service. In a city full of steakhouses (we visited several others), this one is not to be missed.

We loved Bavette's! The atmosphere was nice and food was fantastic! We recommend starting at the Gilt Bar next door for a pre-dinner cocktail. Chicago has tons of great restaurants, so it has to be a pretty great spot for us to return - We...More

My wife and I dined with a close friend at Bavette's in Chicago. The décor is dark and could be considered romantic. The clientele is attractive. We had a terrible meal. Firstly we all ordered salads. Ours came and were very good. Our friend's salad...More

Over the bridge on Wabash to Kinzie turn left. Up the road about 4 blocks on your right. However long that takes you to walk. I would say at least 20 minutes if you are taking a leisurely stroll.
