For as long as I can remember, I passed the Starbucks location at 444 North Michigan Avenue every day while walking home from work. But I never stopped there. For one thing, I don't drink coffee. However, I noticed that it was a very popular hangout for employees of the Chicago Tribune across the street. My wife caters to the... More

Love coming to USA for work, always dread the coffee. This was everything expected - sugar and syrup in a bucket with a coffee flavouring - a far cry from a real coffee shop

We were vising Chicago and stopped at 444 Michigan st. STARBUCKS to have coffee and muffin and daughter had also popcorn. The coffee latte when it was given to all of us was half empty the cup after foam went down. It is so expensive also. shame on them....highway robbery. Muffins were ok.

First, in the interest of full disclosure, I must admit that I AM NOT a fan of Starbucks overall. While the food is good, I find it very pricey for what you get. The coffee is very pricey for fu fu drinks especially. I don't need an umbrella and whip cream on my coffee. I prefer a real cup of... More

Comfy, cozy Starbucks with lots of seating and friendly workers. Great drinks. FAST Located right on Michigan Ave by the Tribune Building.

In the heart of Chicago's Michigan Avenue you can always find a place to quench your thirst and rest your legs-and use the restroom. This location is clean, efficient and offers a view of the Magnificient Mile as it is called by many. It's a good place to grab a beverage before taking a boat tour, shopping, or just sightseeing.... Basically all the Starbucks are the same only the location and service/cleanliness are different, the staff here were friendly and the store was some what clean, but it was race weekend so it was probably hard to keep clean.

Yes Starbucks, delicious coffee and other treats. What happened to the small mom and pop coffee shops. The trend of expensive coffees can be found at Starbucks.

The 3 Star rating is not for the quality of the coffee, but the service. I don't think that one, of the many, baristas wanted to be there. Granted, it's Chicago and it was busy at 2:00 on Saturday afternoon, but a little courtious service would go along way.

If you're at the intercontinental standing in line. Run across the street to the street and get it quicker... Literally.

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighbourhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
