Locally, we don't find Chicago-style pizza. It's literally a "pie" in a deep dish pan. Regular appetites: 1 piece per person; Large appetites: 2 pcs per person. Gino's also is a brew-house, and they have some great private beers. Don't expect to find Bud or Miller here unless those are the guys in your party. Service was great - food... More

I am a big Giardanos fan. This is good pizza too BUT it doesn't beat out Giardanos or Pequods. If you can't get in either of those this is good too. Pizzas seem to be so subjective that it's hard to say what will work for you.

If you have a taste for authentic "Chicago Style" deep dish pizza, you have several choices in the River North area where the style had its origins. Many swear by Gino's East, and its hard to argue with that. But my suggestion is to avoid the hyped original location on E. Superior street and instead walk the few extra blocks... More

The authentic Chicago 'deep dish' pizza is in a class by itself. If you're not sure of what to try, just ask Ms.Alex.

I loved the food. It was my first time trying a deep dish and this place did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is nice and the pizza was perfect. It takes a while to cook but that is expected. The wait is so worth it.

We were told by a local source that we had to have Gino's deep dish that it would be better than Lou M's and Giodarno's. Maybe its because I am not from Chicago but they all tasted the same to me.. It was good but no difference.

First and foremost the service here was very good. Other items on the menu were very good and would come back for something other than the pizza. Came here because Lou Malnatis was too busy. The pizza here is poor and very acidic. Giordano's is significantly better and has more flavor. Environment us good here as well.

Love this location of Gino's because they have their own micro-brewery. While you're waiting 45 minutes on your pizza, have a couple of their specialty beers-- they're great. There's also a lot within walking distance of this Gino's. The train, shopping, attractions, you name it.

We had a couple of drinks here before seeing a comedy show and really enjoyed the fun atmosphere. Plenty of beer choices!

Finally got to try what Chicago is famous for.. Have to say its very different from our home pizza in New York..at first wasn't sure but with one bite to the next it grew to a delicious lunch..the beer, mozzarella sticks and superior pizza was good.. Glad we tried it. Would recommend it. Gino's had good service and our waitress... More
