I was recently at this restaurant for a quick bite late in the evening. It was a scenic view, 5 minute wait and the food was great.

My daughter and I went to the Grand Luxe due to the high recommendation of two friends. We went just after 11 am so beat the lunch crowd and were seated right away. It is nicely decorated and the wait staff was very attentive. It took us awhile to make our choices as the menu selections were plentiful. The bread... More
First I want to say, a reservation is a must for their weekend brunch, as it gets busy fast, our party was seated promptly. We were sat by the window and got to see the snow falling down on the city which was quite lovely. The decor is pleasant but other than that, I wasn't impressed. It was typical breakfast... More
Highly recommend having a meal at this restaurant. On our recent trip to Chicago, we had dinner one day and breakfast another day - both delicious. Definitely worth the wait.
This restaurant although it's wonderful the downfall is they don't take reservations! We waited in line in the lobby to get a pager, then waited until pager went off. At that time we went up the escalator and asked to wait until our name was called, our name is called and we stood in yet another line before we were... More
Our dinner at the Grand Lux was exactly what we expected -- delicious food, with wonderful service, all in a lovely atmosphere. The location of the restaurant, if you have been shopping on the Magnificent Mile, being just a few blocks south from Water Tower, is ideal. Their menu is quite extensive and varied, catering to a wide variety of... More
Stopped into the Grand Lux Cafe for lunch while on a girls shopping trip. Most of us had never eaten there before and was our first time. Was told to order my dessert right away that way it can be cooking while our meal was being prepared, so I did. So of course when I was done eating I couldn't... More
We stopped in to enjoy dessert and the fabulous view. We're never disappointed at Grand Lux. The carrot cake is outstanding, but oh the bread pudding! Soft bread, warm rich caramel, crunch from the candied nuts. Huge portions so it's great for the table to share.
We had a short time frame in which to have lunch. Our server did a great job getting us our food so we could make our appointment. I had the Cuban and my wife had the soup and sandwich. We both had PLENTY to eat and I even took some of my sandwich home. The Cuban was one of the... More
