We had not been here in over a year, and were surprised by the new entrance and renovations. Actually they needed the room, and although the more modern look may not be as charming, the owner and wait staff continue to provide a personalized welcome and service. Our waiter Chris, had suggestions for us with regard to drinks and appetizers... More

Enjoyed a wonderful Mother,s Day dinner. Shared some dishes, with everyone having their own main dish. Great ambiance, service etc. Finish with pistachio gelato and capuchino. Highly recommend.

We have been regulars at this little Northwest Side gem for 10 years. They are working on an expansion now that will dramatically improve the space. The owner/chef Mark is always present and personal, with special touches to many orders. Eric, a personal friend of the owner, does it all, including serving, wine selection and managing. He is outstanding at... More

Went with friends on a busy Monday (!). A bit hard to find parking spaces in neighborhood streets. Everyone happy with pasta dishes. Mine were the tortellina al forno. Fine filling and sauce, almost home cooking. Service was slow, probably too many people at once. Noise level/echo was disheartening...had to lean over just to hear seat-mates, forget about those across... More

When we walked in we realized it was closing in 10 minutes. As we turned to leave one of the cooks called out to the waitress to call us back in. They told us we still had time to order before the kitchen closed and we were welcome to stay as long as we wanted! I cannot pronounce the actual... More

a real, tradtional Italian menu superbly executed with some ceative twists. Unlikely location for such quality and unpretentious, I was surprised by some of the best pasta I have ever had!

Started with the octopus appetizer and asparagus salad. No one does octopus better. The grilled asparagus was pretty phenomenal too. Main dishes were linguini del mare, sacchettini bolognese and ravioli with mixed seafood. All were terrific. Had the chocolate lava cake with mint chocolate chip ice cream for dessert. This place is a hidden gem.

There were four of us. 2 had Walleye which was the daily special. The walleye was bad. It was hard. Fish is not usually hard. The other 2 had salmon and a sea food pasta. Those dishes were pretty good and the only reason I moved this up to three stars. Pretty costly for an Italian restaurant with only fair... More

Chef Mark does an outstanding job with Authentic Italian Cuisine... Mostly all old family recipes; beautiful combination of flavors, with great service, this is definitely the best neighborhood Italian. Ask for Chris at the bar or Eric the manager; they will both escalate your dining experience. Octopus appetizer is a must.

Best ever grilled calamari. The food is delicious and portions are ample. Attentive service in intimate upbeat atmosphere.
