The food and service were great, but we had no idea everything is small plates when looking at the online menu We thought this would be more affordable, but it ended up being pretty pricey.

We visited at 9:30pm on a Saturday night. Wait was about 20 minutes. No big deal. Atmosphere was very large-group oriented. Obnoxiously loud. Not great for a date or conversation. Service was friendly, but very slow. Polenta fries were severely bland, but the house made ricotta and toast was unbelievably delicious. We each had pastas and they were honestly just... More

I've heard the food here was good for a long time. I finally went last night and the reviews were right. We arrived without a reservation and were informed they were booked solid until 9.30pm. We were offered the bar area. We crammed into a small high top table. Sadly, there were several empty tables in the dining area that... More

Quartino serves small plates that are meant to be shared. Everything is delicious. I have entertained here for business and personal. Prices are pretty reasonable for downtown. Service is spot on (particularly Aldo!). Noise level is good for conversation -- but this is not a quiet stuffy restaurant, This is casual and friendly.

I visited with a group of 27 colleagues. The sample plate was great and so were the small shareable plates of pasta. The only problem I had with this place is I ordered a bottle of Cabernet and when they asked me to taste it and let them know if it was ok, I told them there was something wrong... More

I asked Trip Advisor to tell me about restaurants near our hotel in the Up River area of Chicago. Quartino popped up, and we were convinced to give it a try. I made reservations and recommend that you do the same. We enjoyed the atmosphere and energy that Quarino had. Though it was very busy, the service was excellent. Our... More

This place was good. We made a reservation a couple hours in advance and they had very few openings. I would highly recommend making a reservation farther in advance. Luckily we wanted to eat earlier, so we got in at 5:30 and there was already a line. This place is crowded and a bit difficult to maneuver around all of... More

The food- not great, the eggplant parmigiana was tasty and flavorful, the Margarita pizza was not made very well. The interior was fine, it was very noisy though(we couldn't hear each other talk) and one of the host ladies was not very pleasant, our server and manager that stopped by were very nice.

Love when a restaurant is consistently outstanding. Quartinos is a small plate( IE shared portion) Italian place. Our table of 4 really enjoyed the fondue appetizer. We always get the braised pork shank-so tasty and fall off the bone tender. We were also happy with the orrichetti, ravioli and eggplant parmigiana.

If you have to or choose to eat GF this is a wonderful place with many options- more than you can order! Food & service is always great, and there's options for everyone in your party.
