I was a huge fan of Gino's East in the 1980's. Since then, the legendary corn meal crust on the deep dish has been replaced with bland dough and the depth of the dish has shrunk. I took my wife there for dinner last week. They serve the exact same deep dish pizza that they have frozen at the grocery... More

Laid back atmosphere. Very reasonable and the best darn pan pizza I have had in a long time. We were seated upstairs and it was kind of loud but cozy. Not complaining at all. It is just something to keep in mind.

We went out in about 8 PM so there was no wait for seating, but 45 min for a good deep dish pizza as anywhere. We also had salad with a yummy house dressing. The service was generally attentive but unfriendly. Unfortunately, the entire restaurant needs a good scrubbing.

I am not a pizza SNOB, but I am a pizza LOVER. That's my preface. After a visit at nearby Northwestern, I was jonesing for pizza. Gino's just so happened to be within a stone's throw - perfect. I wasn't going touristy deep dish; I just wanted some thin-crust action with sauce, cheese and a handful of veggie toppings. First... More

I have been to several Chicago pizza restaurants and found most are very bland. Gino's has lots of flavor. They have the meat deep dish and thin crust pizza. Love their sausage!

We waited 40 minutes to get inside and thought the restaurant was very unique. Writing on the walls, tables, everywhere. We were excited to have the deep dish pizza, but the ovens were not working properly. We were told over a two hour wait. We decided to have other meals: Meat ball sandwich, pesto pasta, spaghetti and pan nachos. The... More

These guys are great. They know what they're doing. Good food, good drinks and great service. The servers know the pizza and will give great recommendations. This is a must visit if you love pizza. Music is good too.

Wow, I was in shock. What a great place to eat and really get a feel for the city of Chicago. Went in and ordered a Gino's Supreme and the Chili, I was then blown away by the incredible taste and phenomenal service by Raquel the lovely waitress. Superb service and amazing tasting pizza to boot. Amazing experience for a... More
