This place has wonderful stuffed grape leaves and the lamb shank and gyros are fabulous. The only thing that we have tried and not cared for is the Musakaa (fried eggplant appetizer) and it was just covered in too much olive oil and was unappetizing.

Omar's grill is back! We had a DELICIOUS meal tonight. We had stayed away because of the fire problem in the building next door, but today, no more musty smell! He's got a great new twist on the rice with our kebabs, and the lentil soup was amazing. We love supporting this excellent small business in downtown DeKalb.

Mediterraneo Grill is a nice little restaurant in downtown Dekalb, and the service is great, but the food -- not so much. The little pizza I ordered last night was tepid at best and the cheese barely melted. For the price, very disappointing.

This was a spontaneous first visit and the three of us were delighted to taste that the chef knew to balance his spices in an authentic harmony of flavors across several dishes. We found the lentil soup a special treat. The samosas had balanced taste and just the right size and texture. The beef and chicken kabobs on rice were... More

Yum x a b'jillion! Everything is good! ....the best way to try most of the food is when they have the Sunday brunch/Buffet!

My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time on Sunday for their all you can eat brunch. The place is small and quaint and we were greeted immediately and told to seat ourselves. There were not very many people there at the time. There was a small selection of foods on the buffet. I will be the... More

My wife and I stumbled onto this restaurant while traveling today. We tried the sampler appetizer, taboulli, and the mixed kabob plate. Everything tasted great. We try mediterranean food whenever we can find it and this is one of the best we've tried in Illinois. Nice atmosphere and decor. We'll stop again on our next trip through.

Very quick and very tasty. Tried most of the menu and have not been disappointed yet. Reasonably priced for a sit down restaurant. Have yet to try the buffet or the BYOB option.

The restaurant has a quaint atmosphere, very comfortable and laid back. I ordered the mixed grill kebabs. Chicken and steak on a bed of rice. The flavors were bold and delicious. Portion sizes are generious. Prices reasonable. Would go back and try a couple different dishes.

The place is attractive. The food was very good.....a bit pricey for Sunday afternoon but at least you are getting good food.
