O'Leary's Ale House, located in downtown DeKalb, is a good spot for a quick bite or drinks and dinner with friends. The food is good and the atmosphere is comfortable for all ages.

Came across this when looking for restaurants on my GPS. This was an excellent find. The food was great. Being an Irish pub we ordered the fish and chips, they were excellent. The establishment was very clean and the service was excellent. We would recommend this establishment highly.

Like many restaurants O'Learys the food can be uneven at times. They have a separate lunch and dinner menu. I enjoy the pastas most. They added chicken taco's, that I really enjoyed this last time. I have given up trying to get a Gold Cadillac margarita, but the Cosmopolitan's are first rate.

Had a chef salad with slow roasted turkey and a cornbread muffin. Delish! The "Ale House" looks like a fixture for the locals, Unfortunately I was not able to have a dinner and beverage to get a better feel. If in the area, I will be back1

Was in the Dekalb area for Northern University Family Weekend. Family of 6 went around 9PM. The food was good and the service was good, no complaints.

Male bartender is rude to servers and non-friendly to guests. Have eaten there three times and have been disappointed each time. One was even corned beef on St. Patrick"s Day- that was the worst meal ! ...Irish my foot...apparently aaarse is considered profanity. Girls/waitresses are nice and beer selection is good, but not going back.

The bar food was very above average - awesome sweet potato waffle fries - and the service was excellent. Tori, our server, went above and beyond. A definite recommend...
