It surprised us when we arrived to learn that Cafe la Cave is BOTH a banquet facility and restaurant. We were seated in the corner and so were protected from the wedding din but it was quite loud in the vestibule. This is a themed restaurant and is decorated like, well, a cave. While the menu is fairly limited, we... More

I have been going to this restaurant for 27 years and it never fails me it always has excellent food and excellent service. I have tried a variety of offerings from their menu and their specials and they are always superb. It is a family owned restaurant and their food and service is a tribute to their matriarch. As always... More

This elegant dining and banquet venue is convenient to Allstate Arena. The café is best known for stylish table side preparation, a form of 'dinnertainment' that's becoming hard to find. The low-ceiling cavern-like decor is dimly lit and romantic, with an attractive bar along one side. I recommend going there with a Groupon or similar because the prices are lofty.... More

My wife and I went to Cafe La Cave for our anniversary last night. The service and ambiance there was amazing! The steak Diane was to die for. The preparation at our table truly made it a very special meal. We finished with the Cherries Jubilee which was truly over the top. We look forward to our next visit!

My husband and i have been to Cafe la Cave before and love sitting in the "cave" style bar. The service and food are exquisite; old school waiters in tuxedos, tableside prep and service. We took his daughter and son last night for his daughter's graduation dinner and it has not changed at all! We had escargot and crab cocktail... More

A friend of mine got married here and I ate dinner here the Thursday before. It is an amazing restaurant and has always held up the quality of food for 46 years. Fantastic!

I have had my fair share of banquet eating, weddings, funerals, corporate events, etc. In September a local organization had a fund raising banquet which I attended at Cafe Le Cave. Surprisingly I was impressed with the food and the service. Most meals from my experience especially when the entree is chicken tends to be overcooked. To my surprise we... More

Visiting Cafe La Cave was wonderful! Chateaubriand is not often on menus anymore. It is a delicious cut of beef! Ours was cooked perfectly with a slight crust on the outside with perfect seasonings. It was carved table side with bearnaise sauce. The vegies: carrots, asparagus, broccoli, and cauliflower were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was such a treat!... More

I just attended a large event for the community college I work with at the Cafe La Cave. I have to say that from start to finish, that I was impressed. I had a pre-dinner drink and it was well done and not devoid of the alcohol content it should have. The venue was nice, near the airport, with ample... More

My husband and I came here for dinner, it's across from the Hyatt. The service was excellant!! The waiters were very attentive, the cocktails were tasty, and the food was fabulous. We both had seafood, the scallops were HUGE. I feel the price is reasonable. They even do a table side Steak Diane. You don"t see that very often.
