Grab a cab and head over to this Chicago staple! They are famous for the Chicago style hot dogs, but to me the Portillo's beef sandwich with hot peppers (dipped!) is the best sandwich on the planet! If you've got a layover at O'Hare and TSA Pre approval, this is easy to fit in since it is so close to... More

This my first Chicago dog experience. The place was packed but the wait was minimal. I had the Portillo's dog all the way and a polish sausage. The sausagecame with mustard and was loaded with grilled onions. The peppers on the hot dog were not so spicy you couldn't enjoy the hot dog. I will definitely be back

Not healthy but very tasty. Quick, generous portions, love the volume and the speed at which food is produced. Get a hot dog!!

Portillos has a wide range of stuff on the menu. The dogs are OK, the burgers are pretty good. But the final final is the chocolate cake. Seriously; the BEST!

Not coming from the Chicago area, this was a bit unusual for me. I followed the advice of my hosts and had the fully dipped Italian beef sandwich. I've had many French dip roast beef sandwiches but this one was different because it was soaked in the au jus & messy to eat. It was tasty, however! My granddaughter had... More

All the food is great! Beef, sausage, Combo, Hot Dog, Tamale, Chicken Sandwich, Burger, Shake...I could go on and on. I only have one issue with Portillo's...their fries are ALWAYS too salty. Actually a good thing for me...I always get fresh fries because I ask for no salt :)

Several friends from Chicago said you can't have a hot dog in Chicago unless you get it at a Portillo's. I love me a good hot dog, and they have some of the best I have had. Get it loaded for the full effect. I got one, and it was so good, I got another. Then another. Will definitely go... More
