Quaint place right in the heart of down town. Of course, we had to order the signature Fried Green Tomato's and they were delicious. I had the fillet with 4 shrimp, mashed potato's and it came with salad. Everything was good, it was cooked right and hot and timely. Almost came out a little too fast as we hadn't finished... More

We had a great meal here. The steak I ordered was absolutely perfect. The wine list was deep. The service was perfect too.

We ordered a dinner pan for our family Christmas. Wow! The steak masala was tender enough to cut with a spoon. My 86 year old father had no trouble eating it. Everything was hot, well packed and they even carried it to the car for us. The staff was friendly in person and on the phone. This was well worth... More

We had a wonderful dinner at Fried Green Tomatoes! The ambiance was lovely - vibrant enough while also being intimate. We sat upstairs and it was a bit quieter than the main floor which was perfect. The food was delicious! We had the crab cakes as an appetizer, house salad and the steak/shrimp and pork osso bucco for the entrees.... More

We had the porterhouse, filet mignon, lobster ravioli, and veal Parmesan. The kid liked the lobster ravioli, which had squid ink. The filet and veal were good too. However, the porterhouse was not in the upper half of porterhouses I've had. The wine special was good, as were the desserts. Service was friendly and attentive. The eponymous appetizer is mandatory.

Everything about this place was great!! We got some history while waiting on our table; the restaurant used to be the leather shop U.S. Grant's father owned. Moving on the the cuisine, everything was to die for!! From the dipped bread, to the side salad, to the toppings on my steak to the juicy bone-in ribeye cooked to perfection!! Everything... More

Before we even ordered, the east wall of the dining room won my eye. 150-year old bricks, original hand-hewn timbers and hand-troweled cement, all nicely set off with European deco art. The aluminum cove ceiling was immaculate, not speck of dust on the air ducts. That same attention to detail was reflected in their service and food. Don't miss the... More

My sister and I had dinner at Fried Green Tomatoes in mid-December. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the season, as was the entire village. It really helped to get us in the holiday spirit! We split the flatbread appetizer and then split the lasagna. Both plates were wonderfully flavored. The portions are large enough that we could have ordered... More
