Everything at the Cocoa Bean is delicious. The problem is deciding what to buy. I am a huge fan of the almond croissants. The mini pound cakes are wonderful. Honestly you can't go wrong with any of the bread type items. The cakes and pastries are amazing. My brother-in-law loves the pear tart. Also, try the Earl Grey Latte. It... More

Before having one at the Cocoa Bean, I had never tried a Kouign Amann (kween a – MAHN). Now, I can't get enough!! Its like a cross between a croissant and a doughtnut and a funnel cake (but mostly a croissant) and its got hardened caramelized sugar on top and it is basically perfection! Crunchy from the sugar, crisp like... More

This is the go-to place for anyone hosting a party, there is no one has good as this place! Besides their gorgeous and delicious cakes ( you can special order too). they have the most tantalizing mini pastries, so you can make a selection. There are a few savory items as well, and you can't beat their onion tart. They... More

We stopped in for dessert on a Thursday afternoon. The display case was filled with small pastries that had amazing decorative detail. We ordered six different tiny treats from a bite sized éclair to a mini tart. They were ALL wonderful. We will definitely return!

I was hosting a baby shower so my husband and I sampled croissants and breads from several bakeries in Geneva. The Cocoa Bean won! I served croissants, almond croissants, mini blueberry breads and assorted specialty breads at the shower. EVERYONE loved the selection! The almond croissants were loved by all!! We also ordered some veggie quiches for the vegetarians attending... More

Cocoa Bean has the best croissants in the entire Chicagoland area! Their delightfully decorated small cakes and pastries DO taste as good as they look. These guys know what they are doing; you will not be disappointed.

The place is small and gets crowded fast, but it is definitely worth a stop! Everything they have is excellent. I order birthday cakes from this place all the times and people are always impressed with the taste and the decorations. When I have friends over or I want to serve a nice dessert, I always stop by here and... More
