Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Always a pleasure to visit here, we are regulars when in Soller and made to feel very welcome each time. The paellas are fantastic as are a multitude of starters and specials. Beautiful setting with the gorgeous tram heading past every now and then, an...absolute treasure.More

A fantastic fish/seafood menu. Bacalao exceptional as was the prawn carpaccio with caviar. Varied wine list too. Certainly worth a visit.

We booked a table, my husband isn’t vegetarian but kindly shared a paella with me. It was the best vegetarian paella we had eaten, good selection of fresh vegetables, asparagus, cauliflower to name a few. It was very tasty, we wished we had tried the...restaurant sooner. Would certainly return. Husband also had home made croquettes. Efficient service, very professional. Nothing to fault.More

My wife and I ate at Los Oras on the evening of 16:July. The manager came round with a large plate on which there were some whole fish. We chose a rock fish on his recommendation. It is part of the snapper family. We have...since learnt that such fish have little or no taste. The manager would or certainly should have known this. The fish was well cooked but totally without any taste whatsoever. It was however extremely expensive at €100. We informed the manager who gave us two glasses of Cava which we did not want at the end of the meal. A reduction in the bill would have been more appropriate. I wouid not recommend this restaurant.More

This restaurant was recommended to us by another restaurant owner. It has a lovely view but no real atmosphere as most customers are sitting in a single row in front of the restaurant. The staff are all young females dressed in ‘uniforms’ of shorts and...top. This made me uncomfortable - do they all want to have so much flesh on display? Certainly there were very few smiles from the team and no chat. Our starter of calamari was really delicious but we were only half way through when our paella arrived and they just commenced serving that which is very poor service. The paella had a great flavour but was very oily. So overall not a great experience and it is one of the more expensive restaurants in Port de Soller so we won’t go again.More

This was our first visit to Las Olas which has always been highly recommended. However, on reading other reviews I have to agree that it isn’t really up to scratch. Several of the starters were unavailable at 3pm, pigs trotters, mussels and even hummus. We...chose the octopus to share but it was very chewy and not very tasty. Then on to the black paella which we had been told was a must. It was supposed to have mixed seafood but there were 4 prawns (not very big), 4 mussels (small), some unidentifiable pieces of fish and some chopped green beans. The whole dish was dry as if it had been re heated. I see that other reviewers say the same. After this we were left for over an hour before anyone came to ask if we wanted dessert or coffee. This wasn’t really a problem as it’s a super setting looking over the bay but it’s not good service. Pellegrino water was cheap at €2.80 but €18 for a jug of sangria is excessive. All I can say is that the food was okay but the service was bad and we shan’t return. There are much better places in the port with just as good a view.More

We booked in advance for this restaurant via our hotel Can Auli, and got an outside table, about 7 available, which is a must to see the sun go down though is so hot if you arrive before sunset. We were greeted but felt that...they had not quite started the evening at 7 30pm as we were not given the bread and alioli or even offered it, neither were we shown the fresh fish of the day, which everyone else did afterwards. In fact we had to ask if there were any specials. Nevertheless we ordered squid in tempura and croquettes to start. Squid were lovely, croquettes (12) were tasty but would have been a starter for 4. Then we had the steak and chips which was served carved on a board, and was really nice, along with mixed paella for two. I am not sure if mallorcan paella is different to Spanish, but it was quite dark in colour. No issues with that. But for a mixed paella we had two large prawns each, two mussels each and the odd bit of squid. For the meat there were tiny bits of meat on and off the bone. Then a few bits of pepper and beans, like broad beans. We felt it lacked fish and definitely meat, was dry and a bit bland. Edible and OK but not for us. As I say, this could be the mallorcan way but could have done with more substance. The setting is amazing though. I know there are better and worse along the strip. Maybe see which restaurants have availability in three days time, if they can fit you in, try elsewhere. Would I go back, probably yes and go for something different. EnjoyMore

A beautiful setting perfect for watching the sun go down! It’s a really pretty venue with tables lining the promenade. We had the paella which was delicious and recommended by locals in the area.

Rude maitre d. Forgetful, uninterestd waiter. Mediocre food. Wake up. Wonder why the terrace was empty. The general standard if retos in Soller far exceed this classic tourist trap.

Went for lunch based on a recommendation from our hotel. Ordered the anchovies and peppers for starters which were nice and then were excited to try the seafood Paella for main course. However, it was a huge disappointment. Minimal seafood and it was really dry,...like it had been cooked the previous day.More

We ordered the cuttlefish paella to share as it was highly recommend by the waitress. The cuttlefish when we found it was tough and overcooked. Also the dish was too, too salty. We left most of the meal behind.

Went there after a day of Soller, site seeing an swimming and went to this place recommendedby a colleague. Unlike other guests we sat inside and had the place to ourselves, the terrace was Full. The food is not cheap, bit is is really good....We can reallyrecommend the tuna tartare in a surprisingly garlic sauce that was not too intense. Would I come back? YES, much more on the menu to tryMore

We had dinner here last night, it was delicious. The food is absolutely Devine. I’m a picky foodie who has high standards and I could not fault this lovely little restaurant. The situation is perfect for viewing the sunset in port de Soller. The staff...are friendly and polite. I had the baked sea bass and it was truly lovely. My husband had fish stew - the seafood was so fresh. Best meal so far - don’t miss out!More
