We used to live in southern Illinois and we would buy their sausage frequently. Best around!! We now live about three hours away and we made a trip down to see family last week. While in the area we stopped in and bought a few pounds of frozen sausage to take back home with us. It's as good as we... More

Fresh- Home made- this is what you find at Louie's. There is always a line and there are a few places to sit. We always get our stuff to go and then go to the park for a picnic.

Great food - love the sausage and salameats. Staff is very friendly and the prices are right. Sandwiches and salads are also great!

For years during the time I was small we would have selameaties(misspelled). To this day my cousin and I still buy them. This business is family owned and supported by a great group of people. It is in Herrin,Il. Try it you will like it. This is also a meat market.

This restaurant is known throughout southern Illinois. They have very good sandwiches and salads and canoli. But it's more of a take out restaurant than a place to sit with your family. You go to the back of the store and order your sandwich or salad. You can get a variety of different things by the pound, like bacon, salameats,... More

So I loved this Italian deli. The only sandwich I'll ever get is the Italian beef. Today I tried three. They were good, but absolutely no comparison. Tried the sala, muffuletta, and Italian beef. Not a fan of muffuletta. But others may be. This place is adorable. Little deli/eating area. Lots of locals. Cashier is polite, helpful, and sweet. So... More

This is a good, small Italian deli with a good variety of fresh meats and sausages. Sandwiches are good, albeit a bit lean. Good, friendly service.

Salameat sliders were really good! They have a couple of aisles of Italian dry goods and fresh meats to go. Their dry packets of Italian beef seasoning are great, as well!

All sandwiches are great! Salameats, sausage, sandwich meats and cheeses are the best! Salads made with what you want.

This is by far my favorite choice for any meal in Herrin. Breakfast through dinner, fresh ingredients and the most welcoming staff! I always feel like they are actually happy to see me, glad to serve me and totally enjoying their jobs. I have my favorites, but even when I go rogue, the food is spectacular. Never had a bad... Description
Phone is 618-943-3394. Locally owned and operated Italian deli that's been in business for about 100 years. They don't advertise much and seem to rely mainly on local knowledge. Great Italian beef and other sandwiches. Pretty good cannolis.
