Four of us out for dinner on a beautiful Sunday early evening. The wait, 20 minutes, didn't seem long because there is still so much to see. Haven't eaten IN for a while, usually only carry out. Salads were great, and three of us had the awesome chicken. I, however, had the fish, which was EXCELLENT! Who could know? Wine... More

The billboards hype this as the worlds best fried chicken so our expectations were pretty high. This is a destination place good for large groups and tour busses. The concept is a little odd for us city dwellers I guess. It's massive with different rooms and themes. There's a dusty doll collection (creeped me out) as well as a vintage... More

My family and I have been coming here for years, the restaurant is very unique with so many old antiques and a great farm house feel to it. It's very large and great for business meetings (despite the hours), parties, or just an evening out. The chicken is absolutely delicious! Especially with their homemade chicken gravy. There is a petting... More

The chicken that everyone raves over is ok at best. It's fried with very little seasoning...the sides themselves are great.

We dine here about once a year for a birthday dinner. It's perfect for large groups. They serve the chicken and relish items family style. The relishes are fresh and delicious. Chicken is served piping hot. The broiled white fish is good and quantity of fish is large. The decor is dated and could use some sprucing up.

First, an admission : We go, about once a year. When we leave, it's pretty much the same story : the salads and relishes are very good (and the hushpuppies yea!), the chicken isn't very good, the bar simply cannot mix drinks (and isn't interested when you explain that) and the ambience is like a mausoleum. The facilities need updating--have... More

just recently re-visited this great establishment. Excellent, plentiful food, fine service and great nostalgic ambiance. Although, well known for great chicken meals, the white fish and steaks are excellent as well as the included starters of bean salad, coleslaw, corn fritters, red beets and cottage cheese. Have renewed our commitment to return often.

My family has been frequenting this restaurant for years. Was my Mom's go to restaurant. Meal starts with hush puppies and salads, followed by the best chicken in town. There are other options if you are not a fan of chicken. I usually wind up dinner with Brandy ice cream, another favorite. Enough seating for small or bigger family's to... More

The place is so interesting, filled with antiques, old farm impliments, clocks, cash registers and on and on. In the summer there is a petting zoo. Sometimes on weekends there is a long line and wait to get in but the kids are entertained by all the cool old stuff on display. They do accept reservations though. The special chicken... More
