Service, atmosphere and food were great. Second visit and will go again. We had lamb, chicken and pasticchio. There was plenty to bring home as a leftover.

My salmon entree was cooked in a parchment bag. It was very tasty, right amount of spice. We did not care for the calamari, but it was fine. My husband had a greek combination plate, he loves greek food. All in all, it was very good.
Instead of going in to Greek town in Chicago to the restaurant of the same name, we decided to just go 30 minutes away to The Greek Islands in Lombard. Great decision! The food was awesome and the atmosphere very nice and warm. The host and server were all very pleasant and attentive. Nicholas knew the menu well and recommended... More
On a Saturday night, our party of four waited an hour (need at least 6 for res.). Once seated our server (Spiro) immediately took our appetizer/ drink order. The saganaki and tara were excellent. All of our entrees- Sea Bass Lavraki, Grill Octopus salad, Swordfish Kabob and Gyros were fantastic. The servers were very attentive even though the place was... More
when my wife and I need a Greek food fix we head for Greek islands. Their menu is extensive with every variety of Greek appetizer, soup, salad, meat and seafood all priced reasonably, We especially like the do-it-yourself combo where you can match two or more of your favorites. They also have fine desserts and an extensive wine list with... More
Ate here last night with two other couples. Everyone enjoyed their food. 5 of us had lamb one way or another. One had the pork chops and said they were excellent. The restaurant was pretty full at 6:30 pm on Friday and the parking lot was also almost full. It was a very nice experience overall except when Spiros asked... More
Our monthly group celebrates birthdays of our crew and this month's was wisely spent at GREEK ISLANDS LOMBARD - glad we did ! Superior service is a hallmark at BOTH locations, and our evening at the Lombard restaurant exceeded even our good nights downtown on Halsted Street ! Our party of 11 was treated like royalty, with our server taking... More
We have frequented both the Greek Islands on Halsted in Chicago as well as this Lombard location. The Greek Islands West has the same great menu and food! We have been here multiple times and have always had a great dining experience. I especially recommend the seafood - particularly the grilled octopus and the sea bass. Always exceptional. All of... Excellent food! Excellent service! We go here at least once a week. The salmon is very popular we recommend it whenever we bring guests for the first time. The fish is always very fresh. Greek specialties are wonderful. We had the chance to eat at the original in the city. This kitchen is better than that one.
This is a typical Greek restaurant in Chicago. It is not as fancy as some of the Greek restaurants in San Francisco so the food quality is average. They offer a huge selection and it is good for families. The only issue is that you must prepare to wait. Unlike most restaurants in the area where they tell you to... More
