Had a superb Sunday lunch here. I had pork belly, partner had Roast beef. Everything was beautifully presented, the rhubarb was a great compliment for the pork. Beef cooked perfectly. Rhubarb again for desert, cooked two ways and with a sorbet and mascarpone. Chocolate dessert was good too. Delicious.

A group of us tried the seasonal tater menu last night and can not rate it highly enough. Every course was extremely tasty, beautifully presented and paired with excellent wine choices. The attention to detail such as using seasonal primroses and wild garlic flowers made each of the six courses an absolute delight for eyes as well as the taste... More

I visited here with my family on the night of the storm and had the two course menu at £15. Perfect venison and dessert and perfect wines made this a most memorable meal. They even made a fuss of my birthday too. I have been extolling the virtues ever since.

Ate here this evening and wow what a great meal we had .....short rib of local beef from Kenton Hall and Orford Pollock. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and were of ideal portion size. Thankyou for a lovely evening ...we will definitely be back.

Went here last night with friends for dinner and had an excellent meal. The choice is not vast but is sufficient to cater for most tastes. The quality and presentation of the food is superb and the taste is fantastic. A good selection of wines and drinks at reasonable prices given the quality. The decor and overall style is relaxed... Living only 15 minutes away, we finally booked at the Queen. So it's that awkward first weekend in January, what to expect? Actually one of the most friendly welcomes for a while, and without doubt one of the best front of house teams I've experienced for a long time. Genuine, and relaxed. Just brilliant. Excellent food too, in fact the... More

A last minute cancellation allowed a late scheduled New Year Eve trip to incorporate the tasting menu here instead of a chinese take-away. We certainly weren't disappointed - six courses of well presented and very tasty food, accompanied by good wine and beer. I'd call out the oxtail appetiser and the jerusalem artichoke soup as my favourites but it was... More

The Queens Head has been changed beyond all recognition. This used to be a lovely pub with lots of character but sadly looks so bland now and is certainly not welcoming to locals. The food is overpriced and portions tiny.

My wife very kindly treated me to the Queen's tasting menu yesterday evening as a birthday treat. I won't run through the whole menu but suffice to say each course was excellent and also conceived with a sense of fun in terms of the order in which dishes were presented and the drinks they were paired with. Compared to what... More

I stayed for 3 nights in one of the Shepherd's Huts in the garden here in August. The shepherd's hut was wonderful. Very stylish and extremely comfortable. Terrific duvet and v comfy mattress. Lovely coffee etc. Great weather and could sit outside with the dog running around as no one else was staying in either of the other shepherd huts... More
