Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited to celebrate a wedding anniversary having not planned anything. We made a great choice as the welcome and atmosphere were lovely, food choices ideal for us and yes the dessert trolley was amazing. The staff were really friendly too. We will be returning.

Booked here for a lunch to celebrate my father-in-law's 92nd birthday. Always a challenge to find somewhere with a menu to satisfy all in the group but this did it. 2 of the chef's specials were tried. The King prawn and salmon pasta (very good)...and the liver and bacon (excellent with particular mention to the perfectly steamed veg as well as the great meat). The fish and chips went down a treat and 'the birthday boy's' ham, egg and chips was greatly appreciated. Puddings selected from a sweet trolley (not seen one of those for a while) including a candle in the guest of honour's lemon meringue pie All in all an excellent meal and very reasonably priced even before the20% off in September deal Service wasn't the fastest but fine and a really friendly and helpful serving team.More

Walked in - and walked out. Tables were sticky, menus were really old and tatty - choice was very limited. Needs a full upgrade!

Had a fab meal after a good walk. I had a steak this time, really well cooked (rare) with peppercorn sauce and a really good pint of Tea (Tongham English Ale). Then the desert trolley, which you do not want to miss!!

£25 for a carvery, and it wasn’t even that good. It’s a joke that they can get away with charging that much for a Sunday Roast. Staff ok, attentive but even after telling us the vegetarian option would take 15 minutes, it took 40. Stuffing...had meat but they won’t tell you, you have to ask if it has meat. No problem with sauces, plenty of sauces for the meat. Also, the veggies with roast were not labelled so you wouldn’t know what was made with meat fat and what wasn’t. When you have the audacity to charge £50 for 2 roasts, at least give us some reason to fee the charge is justified. Sunday afternoon and restaurant was as good as empty. Probably explains what the locals think of it. The Mill down the road looked really good and busy. Next time I am around, I will give the Wolfpack a miss and try the pub next door a visit.More

We live in Milford .. hadn't been to The Woolpack before even though have driven past it lots of times. Went there last Tuesday evening for first time as places we go to in the area have gone downhill recently so looking for a new...place. We liked it so much we booked for ( Carvery ) lunch on Sunday. Both times food, quality of service and value for money all excellent. Will be back and no hesitation in recommending it .. hence the review.More
