1913 is the year the building was built, and there are vestiges of that era still left to be seen beyond the lovely renovation. There is a full bar area with high-top tables and TVs for more casual dining, and a separate dining room. In...More

We shared appetizers and entrees. The pizza's were great. Others had some steaks which they raved about during dinner. It is quite inside and the service was excellent. My only complaint was the weak wine list. If you are a wine bar, you must have...More

Went for my birthday with a big group. We had the honeycomb ricotta, escargot, crab cake, cheese plate, several pizzas and pizzette, soup, scallops and some other things I can't remember. It was all so delicious! Especially the fig pizzette and prosciutto pizza, those were...More

Stopped in for a drink and spent a couple of hours. Pete, the bartender, was great. He was very helpful in choosing our drinks and later when we decided to have a bite to eat helped us choose a good wine to accompany our food....More

Tucked away in downtown Roselle. Had no idea this restaurant existed but went online and there it was. 1913 is a cozy drinking and dining experience. They offer a variety of wines, spirits and very good food. We were impressed that small plates are available...More

I have been wanting to try 1913 out for awhile but just never got there until last weekend. I thought it would be a typical pasta place but I ordered the grilled filet medallions which was twin filets, scalloped potatoes, red wine demi, one side...More

1913 is not your typical American restaurant, so please do not go there if you are looking for cheeseburgers and pulled pork BBQ. But if you want some incredible food and top notch service with an eclectic menu, this is the place. I was first...More

Thank you so much for your review! It's always good to hear when our guests appreciate our extensive beer and wine menu along with our food selections. Each and every bottle had to go through extensive tastings and discussions before being added to the menu....More

This is a great restaurant. However, I am urging all people who are not Roselle residents NOT TO GO THERE. This is our little spot and we don't need a bunch of people from Schaumburg ruining it for us.

Description
Featuring an extensive selection of small plates along with pizzettes, pastas, and pizzas, the menu is centered upon the freshest ingredients. Our extensive wine & beer list is unlike anything found in the Chicago suburbs, featuring a rotating menu of 45+ craft beers and 100+ French & Italian wines by the bottle and glass in addition to a full bar. 1913 gets its name from the building that houses it - an early 20th century storefront on Main Street that opened in the year 1913. The building's original hundred-year-old hardwood floors and exposed brick walls still remain, adding a historical touch to the ambiance. Originally opened as Kee & Chapell Dairy Company, the space later housed other restaurants and retail stores. It lends an air of history that complements 1913's authentic European cuisine.
