Been here before Pleased to say very good on a repeat visit Accommodating and friendly Food very good. Nice menu Loses a point because my roast came with 3 potatoes which was slightly stingy l Pizza was delicious once you managed to cut it Definitely...returning though - hopefully I’ll get a 4th or even a 5th potato!!!More

A group of 12 of us belonging to a lunch club decided to give this well establish local pub a try for one of our monthly get togethers. We were not disappointed. The staff could not do enough to help. The food was very good...and most reasonably priced. The chips were outstanding. The service was excellent and there was a good selection of beers at favourable prices. We all agreed that this was an ideal venue for future meetings and we will look forward to returning.More

With a party of 19 people . We all had different choices off the menu . We all agreed the Butter Chicken was delicious and I must say I thought it was the best Butter Chicken I’ve ever tasted ! Staff were brilliant and catered...for us all . Pub was busy and full and a good atmosphere . Nothing was too much trouble . Thank you to Aarun, Lauren and team for making the evening enjoyable .More

After reading the latest glowing reviews I was expecting something special when with friends I visited for lunch. We had booked, but we had the run of the restaurant as we were told that there were no other bookings, which didn't seem a good sign....I think that there were two other people in the pub, which didn't make us feel any better. The menu isn't brilliant and one of my friends requested a gluten free diet, which needed a word with the chef. (other nearby pubs have a gluten free menu at hand.) We ordered our meals, which took longer than expected, possibly due to the fact that there were no other diners! One friend had the beef stew, which didn't look particularly special, I had the cheeseburger, which again looked OK. My friend wasn't impressed with his stew and the cheeseburger was nothing special. On the plus side the waitress was friendly and cheerful. There was a complete lack of atmosphere. We won't be hurrying back.More

We came in for a Sunday lunch, it was simply delicious! We both had starters, roasts and shared a cheeseboard. Terrific service and lovely vibe - would recommend. Keep up the great work, we’ll be back!

I have visited the Fifield Inn several times over the last month, and can finally say that the village pub is back to its best!! After a period (over the last few years) where the pub lacked any atmosphere it is great to walk in...and receive a warm welcome, and you can really feel that the team are working hard to create a friendly, relaxing comfortable environment Keep it going as great to see the our village pub starting to thrive again. See you again soon!!More

Had a lovely meal this evening. Service was perfect. Bar staff were all very nice and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Only downside, we had to leave early as my partner in too much pain due to a shoulder injury to stay....Will definitely be visiting again.More

We've been coming to this place on and off for a few years, and always enjoyed. Last visit, we were informed the inn had 'changed hands'. One young person was on duty the night visited - doing everything but the cooking! The phone number on...the website is never answered (and apparently doesn't work). Worse still (in the internet age) my request to book was sent to the previous owner of the inn! Useful. Food was actually ok, and the combined efforts of the one person on duty and the chef even made me a very nice item that was not on the menu - which was kind of them. The place clearly lacks proper management, and was over half empty. Thankfully, where it's located, it's unlikely to attract rowdies, but I do wonder if there were to be any trouble - how are the owners of this place expecting it's going to get properly dealt with? If you own and run a pub - you should RUN it - not run away from it and leave it in the hands of a lonely teenager. Shame, the place was good.More

I had the pleasure of visiting this delightful family friendly pub for dinner. The food was delicious and the attention to detail was fantastic. I will definitely be making a return visit in the near future.
