My mum didn't really enjoy her spring rolls, in one of our previous visits & only got 4 quite small ones. So value for money wasn't very good on that starter (my opinion). The Sunday roasts are nice, but let down by the lunch meals we had last week. My mum & dads fish were double cooked dry, even though... More

Made an unscheduled stop for lunch at The Cock Inn and found the staff to be most welcoming. I had a crayfish salad and my companion had scampi and chips. My salad was outstandingly good and I would not hesitate to recommend this pub.

What a fabulous meal! My wife and I with our two daughters went to the Cock in Saturday evening for an early dinner and, despite having only made a late reservation, were readily accommodated and all enjoyed an absolute feast. We all chose dishes from the BBQ menu and received very generous helpings. My ribs and wings were spicy and... More

I took my family plus one of my son’s friends to my local pub, The Cock, in Hatfield Broad. There were five of us in total, all having adult meals. We had three starters, which we shared, a main course each, two desserts, 4 glasses of wine and some children’s soft drinks. The bill was £130 which for the quality... More

Popped in with friends on the off chance of getting a table for 4, on a late Sunday afternoon. We had a very warm welcome from a new member of staff and we all had an excellent meal in a lovely old Freehouse pub. Would definitely recommemd!

Excellent home cooked food, there is a sign saying 'service may be slow during busy periods as all food is cooked fresh' no one minded waiting as the food was lovely and the service was excellent. Will definitely be going back

Maybe straight after the New Year is a bad time to judge The Cock. It is an attractive and quirky pub. Certainly there were plenty of families there when we visited. Service was friendly and portions generous, but I am surprised at this pub's ranking given other local offers. There was a misunderstanding about the order but this was quickly... More
