Visited one bright & sunny afternoon - sitting in the garden gives you the best views of this wonderful setting. Surrounded by woodland & thatched cottages the setting is peaceful & serene, oh & the foods not bad too!

We were disappointed to find the tea-room closed, having made a diversion to call for drinks and a snack in a wonderful setting. I have checked the National Trust website and they apologise as they are advertising for a new Catering Manager. It had been 30 years since we had been here, but at least we were able to see... It would be beautiful but is not open at the moment. In a sweet village with fairytale cottages situated around a green; walks to Selworthy beacon, Bossington and the South West Coastal path

This tea room came highly recommended and we were not disappointed, gorgeous scones and sandwiches. The staff were lovely and the place was spotless The location is stunning, surrounded by beautiful thatched cottages and a lovely church at the top of the hill could of quite happily sat there all afternoon. Can't wait to go back!!

We were visiting the local church and decided to visit the tea-room. Unfortunately, it was closed due to a change of staffing. They hope to reopen in May. We were disappointed to find that it was closed as we had been told it was a good place to visit. The cottage is lovely and has a lovely thatched roof. It... More

The tearoom was closed when we came by but the setting was so gorgeous that I had to write a review anyway. These little buildings were exactly what I pictured when I thought of English cottages, complete with thatched roofs. Very jealous of whoever gets to live there! Breathtaking views and a babbling brook running behind the property. Perfect spot... More

Arrived in Selworthy mid morning for a look around and decided to have refreshments at this pretty thatched tea rooms. Very pretty inside but as it was a warm sunny October morning we decided to sit outside. Lovely garden with extensive views of thatched cottages and countryside. Parked at selworthy - wonderful views of Exmoor before finding this picture post card tea room - 10 of us only drank tea outside on a pretty average day - but really nice experience - would like to visit in the summer!
