Had a look at the website, as you do, and was pleased with a non fussy, informative site. First impressions were amplified when we arrived and found a bustling, family friendly, informal restaurant. Young serving staff were brilliant with orders and food delivery handled swiftly. Food was excellent..we had the roasts...fresh, plentiful and delicious. Pricing is very reasonable. All in... More

The Palmers Arms has become a favourite pub for my other half and I, located in Dorney village between Slough and Maidenhead. It's a decent sized pub and the outdoor area is huge, fantastic in summer with a play area and chicken coop at the end of the garden to occupy kids with! Food is always delicious. Pub classics around... More

We used to love this place and could rely on good service, great food and atmosphere. This time however was a real let down. The staff sat us in one of the tables behind the bar area and then seemed to forget we would like drinks, food, our bill. The wait to be served even though we asked twice was... More

My wife took friend's to the Palmer Arms for lunch. The meal was delightful especially the sweets. The staff were so friendly. There was one disappointment though! We sat to the rear of the pub and it was rather chilly. I should have told the staff but as they were so helpful, I didn't wish to upset them.

Dear Andy, Thank you for your comments, and I'm glad you enjoyed your lunch with us. I'm sorry the table you were on was chilly, it is such an old building & we find it quite tricky to keep really warm on such cold winters days. We do have the fire on in the bar which helps a bit, but... More

We went for dinner at the palmers arms yesterday, our daughter has a dairy intolerance & she was over the moon when she was offered a dairy free pudding, it was cosy & friendly, I would highly recommend

There is plenty of car parking around the side of this Pub which is traditional both inside and out in looks. Upon entering we were greeted by friendly staff at the bar which is quite small but not a problem, service was pleasant and prompt. We pre booked a table for the evening for a friends birthday for 6 of... More

We visited today, as two couples with two young babies in highchairs. The food and atmosphere was good. Clear plates all round. Portion sizes and flavour of the food was great also. Service was also good with staff friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend and would visit again.

Went in for lunch. All the tables were booked so we were offered a table in the bar area. Service was friendly and prompt. We only had sandwiches with hot filling from the lunch menu with chunky chips but the food was lovely and good value for money. Will definitely be returning.

I took my parents for lunch at The Palmer Arms today having already warned them that the service wasn't great but my previous (one time) experience of the food had been good. The table was booked for 12:30 but no food arrived until 1:35. 3 of us ordered macaroni cheese which was tasteless and the sauce so runny you neede... More

I'm so sorry that on this occasion the level of service was so poor. Unfortunately we had 1 of our front of house staff & 1 of our chef's off sick that day, which affected our normal levels of service and for that I can only apologise. I had hoped that by refunding your bill in full at the time... More

Went along for a meal on 28th December with friends. I pre booked thankfully. Upon arrival the pub was very busy. We ordered various different dishes, including children's menus. The food was outstanding. The staff very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend.
