Have not yet been to their new location, but the made from scratch menu is outstanding. Masterful spicing (lush and complex, not 'hot') makes their soups a treat. I often order several different appetizers + soup to make a meal so that I and my guests can sample as many different dishes as possible. My friends from the Middle-East have... More

We have eaten here numerous times. How many people can say, "hmmm, tonight I feel like having Afghani food" and then go out and have some? It is a luxury in this area. We have loved everything we tried, but honestly I cannot say how authentic everything may or may not be since I have never been to Afghanistan. Still,... More

It was a cold night so someone from our family went to Kabul House for carry out. I have never had this type of food but it was wonderful!!! We can't wait to have their food again. We had leftovers so we got another lunch out of our order. Super!

When I'm in midtown Manhattan on business, I often eat at a little Afghan restaurant on 9th Avenue near 52nd Street. Kabul House is better. The Aushak appetizer (scallion/leek dumplings with yogurt and meat sauces) was outstanding. I'm tempted to order this as a full entrée next time. But I love what Aghan cuisine does with pumpkin, so I ordered... More

Oh yum. The veggie platter is to die for... eggplant, baby pumpkin, spinach and cauliflower. Who can make cauliflower interesting and sautéed spinach tastey. Start with the Mantoo beef appetizer to satisfy your meat craving. Settle in with the free soup and stuff your tummy in this delightful Skokie treasure.

We had just driven all the way from Galesburg to Skokie to buy a used car, but needed somewhere to eat afterwards. Found this place a few miles away and decided to try it. The food and atmosphere were wonderful!

Our dining experiance was a surprise. We went on a Saturday evening for dinner, the place was occupied with two other tables. We ordered our meal, 48 minuts later we ate The menu offer dishes with afgan names, our food was middle east and pakistan style. Price is cheap. Devon Ave serve the same dishes as Kabul House with quality... More
